"I'm glad you came, Taehyung. You missed your appointment last month so I was beginning to worry."Taehyung smiles apologetically at the doctor as he gets the things he needs to complete the check up.
"How have you been? Jungkook told me that you've been making progress, even trying to speak sometimes. Yeah?" Dr. Riis asks, Taehyung nods. "Alright. That's great. But remember I said not to force yourself too much. You don't want to make more damage than progress."
Taehyung nods again.
Riis takes the tongue depressor and holds it to Taehyung's mouth. "Say ah, try making a humming sound."
Taehyung does as he says, the sound coming out hoarse.
"Good, things are looking good." Riis says writing something down. "Where's Jungkook anyway? Working?"
Taehyung sighs, even though Jungkook wasn't working he nods.
Jungkook was with Haeun for her first doctors appointment for the baby.
Jungkook was reluctant to go but Taehyung convinced him that it was best to be there for the baby's sake.
"Let's try a few exercises, it looks like to me you should be back talking in no time, if you started therapy you'd probably have a better chance at recovering quickly."
Taehyung nods, there was a reason he didn't want to start therapy.
Why would he want to spill his guts to a stranger for an hour every day? His problems were his problems and he didn't need a medical opinion on them.
Meanwhile back at the hospital, Jungkook was sitting in the ultrasound room with Haeun who was chattering excitedly about seeing the baby.
Jungkook just nodded and stayed silent, he was here for the baby, not Haeun.
"Come on, Jungkook. I know this whole situation is crazy but can't you at least try to be happy? It is your first child." Haeun says.
"I wanted to have my first child with someone I loved." He says, still showing no emotions towards her.
"The baby is still yours, and the baby didn't do anything wrong so don't be cold." She says. "I didn't either so don't be mean to me."
"I don't want to talk, Haeun." Jungkook says sitting back in his chair.
Nevertheless, Haeun was right. She didn't do anything wrong and neither did the baby. It was equally both their faults and wether Jungkook liked it or not this child was his and he had to love it no matter what.
There's a knock on the door and the door comes in with a smile. "Hello, mom and dad!"
"Hello." Haeun says with a bright smile.
"Hey." Jungkook says forcing one of his robotic business smiles.
"Kim Haeun and Jeon Jungkook." The doctor says reading the paperwork. "Says here you're about three months. Let's make sure yeah?"
Haeun nods excitedly looking over at Jungkook who doesn't look at all interested in what was going on.
He was preoccupied with thoughts of Taehyung and how his appointment was going.
