Jungkook's hands start to sweat as he waits for Taehyung's reaction to the doctors suggestion."It's not as bad as you think, Mr. Kim. It's actually going to help you, so much." Park says, looking just as nervous as Jungkook does as Taehyung looks at the pamphlet.
White Wing Psychiatric Institution.
Taehyung looks over at Jungkook with an unreadable expression.
"It's just two weeks, a-and Dr. Park says your voice will be recovered completely by then. Isn't that great, baby?" He asks nervously. "It's going to help you."
Taehyung looks back down at the pamphlet, he feels tears forming in the back of his eyes.
Jungkook wanted to send him away to a mental institution?
Was his unusual silence really that much of a burden to Jungkook? So much so that he thought he needed to go to a psychiatric hospital?
"What do you say, Mr. Kim? Are you willing to give it a shot?" Park asks hopefully.
Taehyung hands the pamphlet back and nods numbly.
"Really?" Jungkook asks from his side in disbelief that he was agreeing.
Taehyung ignores him and stands, leaving the doctors office.
Jungkook looks at Dr. Park. "I told you he was going to be upset."
"He agreed, that's the important part. It will all be worth it. I promise I won't let either of you down." Park says standing up and holding out a hand.
Jungkook stands and shakes his hand. "Thanks again, we'll be in touch."
"He checks in next week. If he changes his mind just let me know." The doctor says.
"Alright, thanks." Jungkook says again before leaving the office to find Taehyung.
He finds him standing outside the building starring off into space with a blank expression.
"You're upset." Jungkook says pulling Taehyung from his thoughts. "It was just a suggestion, baby, you don't have to go."
Taehyung shakes his head and starts walking back in the direction of their place.
"Hey, Tae." Jungkook says grabbing his arm and making Taehyung face him. "Are you upset? I understand if you don't want to, I didn't like the idea of it myself at first. You can always change your mind."
Taehyung pulls his arm away and continues walking.
Despite Jungkook's words Taehyung still feels like he's being forced into the hospital.
Jungkook wanted him to go so he was going. Jungkook thought it was best if he got institutionalized so he'd go be institutionalized.
Maybe he was crazy, or maybe he was just a burden that Jungkook needed a break from.
He wouldn't be surprised if Jungkook was tired of having to constantly be around him when he couldn't even hold a conversation, or doing anything a normal couple would do.
He wouldn't be surprised if Jungkook left him to be with Haeun and their baby, because maybe then Jungkook wouldn't have to worry all the time.
