Taehyung and Jungkook are startled by a sudden banging on their door later the next night.

They share a look of confusion before the banging continues.

Jungkook stands to go get the door but Taehyung grabs his arm and shakes his head.

"It's okay, baby. I'm just gonna go see who it is." He says patting Taehyung's head before going to the door and looking out the window.

Two men dressed in all black stand there, one bangs on the door with a bored expression.

"Taehyung! Jungkook! Open the door!" He says banging some more.

"Tae! It's, Jaewook and Junho! Open up." The other one calls.

Jungkook hears Taehyung gasp from the living before appearing at the door.

"You know them?" He asks stopping him from opening the door.

"Yes, they aren't bad." Taehyung says unlocking the door and pulling it open.

"There you are, Sunshine." Jaewook says with a smile as he steps inside.

"Still weird, Jae." Junho says walking in after him.

Jungkook frowns. "Who are they, Tae?"

Taehyung shuts the door and turns to Jungkook. "Jungkook, baby. Remember when I told you I met the guy~"

"Taehyung. Please don't tell me that these are the assholes that kidnapped you when you were in high school." Jungkook says, his voice low and his jaw tense.

Taehyung falls silent and looks at his hands.

"What the fuck, Taehyung!?" Jungkook shouts. "Are you out of your mind!? Letting them in our house!?"

"Jungkook, they aren't bad people. I swear, just listen to them. Please?" Taehyung tries to calm him down.

"Aren't bad people? I told you about this, Tae! Didn't I?" He continues to fume. "You get them out of my fucking house while I'm still calm!"

"No." Taehyung says making Jungkook's eyes grow angrier. "Just listen, please. I know you think I'm crazy but I'm not."

"What could they possibly have to say to me? Huh? Is it about after they tried to kill you or before?" Jungkook snaps.

"Um, Jungkook?" Jaewook speaks up, at that moment if looks could kill the look on Jungkook's face would have taken him out. "I'm, Jaewook. I was the one your mother hired t-to...yeah. I apologize for that and I know it wasn't right but I only did it to protect him. I swear."

Taehyung looks back at Jungkook and the look in his eye tell him that he didn't hear a word. "Listen to them, please, babe?"

Jungkook looks at Taehyung. "You believe what they say?"

"Yes, I do." He says looking over at Junho and Jaewook. "Listen to them."

Jungkook closes his eyes and releases a heavy sigh. "If you can't explain yourself in ten minutes you're gone."

"That's all we need." Jaewook says smiling at Taehyung who smiles back.

"Come on, Kook." He says pulling Jungkook to the living room and gesturing for the other two to follow.

They sit down and Jaewook starts explaining everything the way he explained it to Taehyung.

That they were undercover workers for another company that sent them to protect Taehyung and him. They weren't really working for his mother but used the inside information to keep them safe.

Jaewook took the order to hurt Taehyung all that time ago because he knew if anyone else did it they wouldn't have taken the extra care to be sure he didn't die from the blood loss.

They've been watching them for years, everything they did they were being watched doing it.

That part made Jungook extremely uncomfortable but he didn't say it.

"So who do you work for?" Jungkook asks after their explanation.

"We don't exactly know them personally. But we were hired by a guy who was hired by a guy who was hired by another guy that was hired by a guy and...you get the picture?" Junho asks.

"And you're telling me she got you out of jail and in return for killing my fiancé she's gonna release your brother?" Jungkook questions.

"Bingo." Jaewook says. "But we're doing everything in our power to avoid that. There is an issue though. Haeun lost the mission~"

"Haeun? You know her?" Jungkook asks in shock. "How?"

"She's my sister." Jaewook says. "She's also kinda undercover with your mother."

Jungkook's head starts to hurt with all the information he's receiving.

"Her mission was to get you to cheat on, Tae." Junho says. "She found you at the club that night and slipped something in your drink. She wasn't exactly supposed to get knocked up but~"

Jaewook punches Junho in the arm. "Shut up. Have some compassion."

Junho rolls his eyes. "Anyway, she lost the mission to kill Taehyung and now your mother is sending professionals to get rid of him."

"Why does she hate me so much?" Taehyung asks, all this talk about him getting killed making him sick.

"She's power hungry. When she looks at Jungkook she sees dollar signs. If Jungkook married someone with even a quarter of his net worth he'd be the richest man in Korea." Jaewook says. "And Tae, you're in the way of that, Sunshine."

"Stop calling him that." Junho and Jungkook says simultaneously.

"S-So someone's trying to kill me?" Taehyung asks, his palms starting to sweat.

"Yes, but she said by the end of next week. We have time." Jaewook says. "But only if you agree to carry out the plan we have concocted."

"N-Next week?" Taehyung squeaks. "Y-You said next week?"

"You're not serious, next week?" Jungkook asks.

"We have a plan guys. We've been doing this stuff for years. Next week is like a year from now." Junho says trying to make the other two feel better.

Taehyung grips Jungkooks arm in fear. "Next week isn't a year from now."

"Listen, we just need to buy time to find the Big Man. After we get you guys out of Seoul we'll have another two months to find him, and that's all we need. You guys just have to trust us, we're on your side one hundred percent." Jaewook says.

Jungkook and Taehyung share a look and they both nod a little.

"Fine, what's the plan?"
