Chapter 3 (REWRITTEN)

"But you drowned! How are you here?!"
Kai questioned.

"Haha..you really are pathetic aren't you?" The voice answered snarkly.

"I'm not him, I'm his son." The boy smirked, his green ombred hair came into view.

"I'm not pathetic! And also how are you even alive? Your father had drowned." Kai countered.

"Yeah yeah. That's what they all say." He shrugged him off.

"Why are you even here?" A feminine voice answered.

"Just reveal yourselves! BOTH of you!" Kai yelled losing his cool.

"Answer me first!" The female voice yelled.

"Whatever. I'm here because the ninja betrayed me, and believe that I'm weak."

The glint in both teens eyes ignited.

"And I want to put them in their place."

Then the female snickered.
"Revenge is what you desire?"

"Why yes Indeed."

"Finally. We have one of them agree that they're nothing but some children in pajamas." The male began laughing.

Kai smirked.

"Hm..let's strike a deal..if you attack the ninja, we can work together to get what we all desire most."

"What do you two Desire?" Kai questioned curious.

The looked at each other.

"Revenge for our dead parents."

Kai felt a wave of determination fall over him as he grew confident.

"I'll make sure they remember who I am."

He dressed out of his red gi, and put on his black hoodie, black pants, black gloves, and a mask to hide his identity.

He made his dragon and flew over to the bounty. He arrived later than he had intended, but quietly landed on the deck.

"Kai, where are you? I...I'm Sorry. I should've believed you. I'm sorry. We're sorry. Please return."

Kai heard a soft voice sobbing.

Ugh. How is this gonna work!? Kai thought as he crept around the deck. He carefully entered the bounty and shut the door behind him.

"W-Who's there?" Lloyd called startled.

He knows I'm here!

"Kai? Are you back?" Lloyd called hopefully.

Nope.

He ran back below the deck and scurried to the dojo. He grabbed the first thing his hand landed on.

It was Kai's sword.

"N-no." He put it back.

He grabbed something different.

His own sword.

He remembered the slashing of the two swords, a rhythmic beat, calming yet menacing.

It hurt Lloyd to know that he had contributed on Kai leaving.

He had really been his best friend.

Then he heard knocking on the door.

"Lloyd."

Lloyd opened the door a crack and found his beloved friend waiting for him, his hand open.

He reached for it, but felt nothing.

"W-what?" He disappeared.

"Oh."

Lloyd turned around to find Kai with a sword in his hands, eyes showing blood lust.

"U-uh.." he looked at him, shocked, his eyes open wide.

Kai grasped the sword and attempted to aim it into Lloyd's throat. But he couldn't. He still..cared about him.

He dropped his sword on the floor, and left through the the door. The ninja hadn't woken up from the commotion.

He left through the way he came, and disappeared into the night.

6:30 AM

"Lloyd?" Zane walked into the kitchen.
"Lloyd?" Zane called again. He shrugged it off, thinking maybe Lloyd wanted to sleep longer and went on cooking.

Coles door opened.

"Good morning Zane." He rubbed his eyes sleepily.
"What's for breakfast Cook?"

"We have pancakes with whipped cream, and topped off with blueberries." Zane explained.

"Mm! Mmm! What smells so good?!" Jay walked in happily and bubbly as always.

"Can I sit next to you Kai?" Jay looked around for an answer.
"Oh wait."

His face dropped.

Cole rolled his eyes.
"You can sit next to me Bluebell." He said as he sat at his usual spot.

Jay pouted but knew he couldn't argue.

"Why yes King Stubborn."

"I'm gonna train!" Jay jumped up trying to avoid sitting next to Cole.
He ran of and opened the door, chirping along the way.

He pushed up the door.

"Lloyd?"
