"So should we pay her a visit?" Lloyd questioned as he played with his hair.
"Yeah, we should come up with a plan with her. Maybe she can help!"

"Her abilities can be very useful." Zane included.
"So we all agree?" Jay finished.
"I'm in!"everyone agreed and they set off on their dragons.

"Do you think...Kai will ever return?" Nya asked Jay from the back.
"Nya, I don't know. But I hope." Jay said as softly as he can.

"Okay, I...love you Jay. Thank you for everything. I'm sorry if I can be a handful sometimes, I'm just so-
"Shh..I know Nya. I know. I love you, now please don't cry." Jay interrupted as Nyas eyes lit up.

She smiled warmly as Jay smiled back.

"I'm sorry to interrupt the lovebirds, but we gotta get going." Zane shouted from in front. (A/N: Zane said that! Bonus points if you know which episode!)

Nya and Jay both blushed as they looked away from each other, and continued to fly, not saying another word.

When everyone had arrived, Lloyd was brave enough to ask the lady at the front desk what room Skylor was in.

The team were in shambles as they were standing altogether awkwardly in the tight space of an elevator.

When they heard the ding they all scurried off and walked down the hallway, each having a different vision of what Skylor's condition would be.

When they finally arrived at the door, they slowly turned the knob, and went inside.

"H-hello? Skylor, you awake?" Nya started. Her eyes landed on Skylor and she smiled.
"Hm? Oh hey guys!" Skylor said as she motioned for them to come in.

"How ya feeling? You look better already!" Jay pepped in.
"I feel great! Just the fact that I have a huge X on my back forever." Skylor explained.

"I see, well, we're now missing Cole and Kai. What do you think we should do?"
"Maybe we could.. think of a plan! Maybe instead of fighting head on, we can be sneaky and smart about this." Lloyd suggested.

"Great idea! But what should the plan be? We obviously need to be strategic and clever on this one." Skylor asked.

"Maybe....aha! How's this?"

The ninjas planed and planed until they eventually nodded in unison as they were ready to try their plan.

(With Cole)

Cole sat in the cave, alone as one water droplet fell from the ceiling and plopped on the floor.

Cole sighed heavily as he looked at the walls as he allowed his mind to go from thought to thought.

It had been a few days since Kai had left Cole in the cave by himself. Kai didn't lock him in, but Cole told himself that he wasn't going to leave until he made up completely with Kai.

"I'm sorry...I wish I could've told you that. But I'm too weak to say that..I'm not even strong enough to be a leader. I can't even keep my team together due to my selfishness." Coles breath was visible in the air as he smiled sadly.

"Took you long enough to admit that boulder-brain." Kai said as he seemingly came out of nowhere.
"Agh!" Cole stumbled.

"K-Kai..I thought you left!"
"I thought I did too." Kai began.
"What do you mean? You obviously knew you left because you're you!" Cole pointed a finger at him.

"That's true, but I meant that I thought that I was done working with one of you pesky ninja, but I think you should join me. Especially because your team doesn't seem like they care for you anyway." Kai said as he put his hands on his hips.

"They do care Kai! You're just saying that so that I would want to join you more!" Cole shot back.

"Well, if they do care, why haven't they gone after you yet? Why haven't they given you another chance?" Kai asked as he leaned in close to Coles face with an annoying side smirk.

"So how bout it?" Kai said as he lended him a hand.
"Well..." Cole thought about it over and over again before moving Kais hand away.

"I would love to, but I just don't know.. I don't want to betray them yet."

"Yet." Kai repeated as he disappeared.
"What?! Where are you? HELLO? CAN YOU HEAR ME?" Cole screamed on and on before he just gave up and left the cave as he let his body take over while his brain began to ponder into different thoughts.

Cole had always loved his team, and felt grateful that he had such amazing people in his life to help support him after the loss of his mom.

He wasn't sure if he was exactly ready to give that all up for one person. After all, how far can you go for only one person?

(With Kai)
Kai was now walking along the beach, kicking at the sand. It was winter, and the sand was a mixture of sand and snow. Kai smiled slightly as memories flooded in .

He didn't realize that he was being dragged into the ocean deeper and deeper by the waves.

Each one dragging him closer and closer to the deep, vast sea, where who knows what lives in. Kai had always been afraid of water, but at the moment he was too carried away to focus on that.

He felt a little tear slip down his face as his shoes began to flood with water. His clothes began to get wetter and wetter. His hair was hit at last, as the biggest wave swallowed him.

But even so afterward, Kai just walked out casually and continued to walk along the shoreline. He was now wet with flat hair, which was very unlikely for Kai, but he didn't care.

He was wet but he didn't care. He was dying inside without knowing it, but he didn't care. No one cared.
