This Chapter is a little sad, so you have been warned.

With Kai)

Y'know, some say that the greatest heroes are the strongest of them all. Some say that they're the bravest. The strongest.

Those are all things hat people would say if someone asks them to tell them what a hero is in their eyes. One would never use broken or Helpless as a word to describe the hero that everyone looks up to.

Not a lot of people get to say that they know a hero as something more than just a stranger that helps people in need.

And even if someone claims to have known them before their heroic journey, very few would believe their claim.

Kai, was one of six of the most known heroes of Ninjago City. At the moment, he didn't feel like a hero very much. Even before turning, he didn't feel like a hero.

He was now sitting on a rock, his hair blowing in the wind. His eyes looked lifeless and dull, and his face was drenched in tears.

There was sand in his now free, but flat hair. His outfit was ripped in several places, his heart was too.

Only a days ago, things seemed different and just plain normal. It sounds weird and strange but it's true. It was only a week ago when things were good.

Zane was the good cook, and friendly one like usual.

Jay was the peppy and hyper one of the group, always keeping the room light and happy.

Nya was the confident and independent one, that was always trying to be the best her that she can be.

Lloyd was the great leader and sweet boy that can make any heart melt.

Cole was kindhearted and strong willed. He would do anything for anyone who ever asked.

And Kai, he had changed the most. He was the cocky one, and the one who protective of both Nya and Lloyd. He loved his family (ninja) and would do anything to protect them.

This was how the ninja were described back then, who knew that things can go so wrong in a matter of a few days.

~Flashback~

"Haha! What are you doing Kai?"
"What? Do you have a problem with me putting gel in your hair?"
"No, it's just that I look ridiculous! Like you do everyday!" Jay joked.

They both burst out laughing, they continued laughing before Cole came in.
"Hey guys..my mom past away."
The two guys still proceeded to laugh.

Cole stormed out angrily as he had his fists clenched at his sides. Jay and Kai turned around and looked at each other.

"What's his problem?"
"I don't know, who knows he's just a stupid boulder-brain." They both burst out laughing again.

Cole thought that they were laughing at him and his situation. But little did he know that that wasn't the case. They just didn't notice he was there.

"People are so mean these days! So careless, so... Spoiled.." he thought as tears began falling down one by one.

Front that day on Coles defense had built up walls to protect him self from the harsh outside world.

He wasn't rude to his teammates, he just didn't care about them. He didn't think that they were thankful for what they had...

They had what he didn't have. Specifically Kai and Nya. He never really knew his mother, He only heard of her death.

At least they got to experience having parents, they weren't alive anymore, but they got to experience it. While Cole never did, he only had his father.

Even then, his father and him never agreed on anything and Cole would often run away from home to get away from his father.

Cole walked to his room, pushed open the door and jumped on the bed without turning on the lights.

He clenched his hand around the necklace he had around his neck, a gift from his mother, and the only one too.

He had gotten it when he was 4, before his mother left.

He cried, silent tears. But sometimes the quiet ones are the ones that hurt most. He grabbed his hair with the other hand and pulled at it.

The tears dropped down onto his bed covers now and he was full on crying mess.
He hoped inside that this was all a dream, and that he could just wake up.

That he could wake up and run to his mothers room and have her pick him up  and hug him in her warm embrace.

But he knew that this was all real, that reality was crumbling before him. He knew that the funeral was soon, and that almost nobody would show up.

She wasn't the greatest person, he had heard from his dad. He heard that she had done many bad things but with a good heart.

Now Cole was panting and crying and basically now screaming for this to all end.

For him to wake up.

And for him to see his mother and hold her hand one last time. One last time, before she left out that door to never see him again.

"Cole! What's wrong? Why were you crying?" Lloyd asked as he came in.
"You wouldn't get it kiddo. I'm fine, just leave me alone." Cole answered as he panted in between words.

"It's obviously not fine Cole. Stop lying to me. I might be a kid but I know what feelings are."

Cole looked up as Lloyd came and hugged him. Cole smiled warmly as he wiped his tears.
"Thanks for caring kiddo."

"What do you mean? Doesn't everyone else care too? It's not everyday we see you crying." Lloyd asked confused as he pulled away from the hug to look at Cole in the eye.

"I know..but I told Jay and Kai and they both started laughing." Cole sighed a heavy sigh.
"Oh...maybe they didn't hear you?"

"They have to have heard me!" Cole declined. "They looked right at me when they were laughing!"

"Then I don't know Cole. You know, don't mind people like that. You don't need rude people in your life."

Lloyd stopped for a minute and looked at Cole in the eye.

"You can tell me why you're crying when you want to. I won't laugh, and I'll do everything I can to help you get through this.

Cole smiled, and looked at Lloyd.

"Y'know what Lloyd? I'll tell you now."
Lloyd just nodded with a warm smile.

~FlashBack End~

Cole clenched the necklace in his hand again.
"It's still hard to believe that you're gone forever. Even though you were never fully in my life, I'm so sad that your gone." Cole whispered.

"Even if I didn't ever really meet you, I feel like you were my best friend." His breath was shown in the wind.

"I wish..You never died. Some say that it's for the best when their parents die, me? No, I wish you were here." Cole looked down at his feet.

"I wonder why you left so suddenly. Did you kill yourself? Get killed, or did you just get sick?"

"This is so sad..I don't even know how you died, you just did one day and someone found your body."

"At least I get to know what you look like now. I'm sure you look beautiful because I'm beautiful." Cole laughed sadly.

"I don't know why I'm being so rude to Kai, I just..can't help it." Cole stopped and looked up at the sky.

"Can you help me?"
