There Comes A Time

Chapter 1: I Want It To End

After Eren was rescued from the clutches of Reiner and Bertholdt, the Survey Corps immediately fled the scene leaving Reiner and Bertholdt in a mix of angry Vicious Titans, Eren happens to gaze behind him and sees the amount of casualties that the Survey Corps had to endure. There were soldies who had been torn apart and eaten by the Titans. There were Survey Corps Soldiers who had been torn apart and their limbs and guts were visible, Eren seeing all of that actually made him freeze. He was not himself after seeing more of his comrades dying out there.

Eren thought to himself for a second and looked down in distraught,
Eren: "Everything that happened was because of me why does something like this always happen, please why can't anyone explain" Mikasa glances at him and saw how Eren was feeling, she immediately comforts him and reassures him that none of it was his fault,
Mikasa: "Eren this isn't your fault, we knew what we were in for, those soldiers out there were willing to sacrifice their lives just to save you"

Eren: "More people died out there Mikasa let that sink in............

Mikasa: Eren you have to pull yourself together...... you can't let their deaths be in vein, remember why you joined the Survey Corps.

Eren stared at Mikasa after what she just said, tears started streaming down his eyes, Mikasa eventually notices the tears and wipes them off his face, Armin, Jean, Sasha, Historia and Connie notice them and eventually smile at them.

After they returned back to base, Eren immediately got off in a hurry and went to his cabin room and locked the door, Armin and Mikasa notice what he did and go towards the Cabin, they knock on the wooden door.

Armin: "Eren? Buddy whats going on? Why'd you leave in a hurry?" no answer came from within. Mikasa tried budging the door and eventually succeeded!

Mikasa: "Eren are you here?" 'that was very strange' Mikasa thought to herself, they check the only room in the cabin which was the Bathroom, but still no sign of Eren.

Mikasa began to feel a bit nervous and concerned, normally Eren would explain what he would be doing before he does it, but this was completely different. The two notice the Bathroom had its Window Broken as if someone broke it from the outside, they see shards of glass on the floor and see a few rocks as well.

Mikasa: "What is going on, why would Eren just flee from us? It's not like him to just break and escape" Mikasa began to worry as she became very anxious about Eren, 'What if Eren couldn't handle the guilt and fled from here, no what if someone kidnapped him' Mikasa thought to herself, she held onto the scarf Eren gave and went back outside in a hurry, Armin also followed as he also had a worried look on his face.

<Erens POV>
'I had to get out of there, I can't do this anymore, all these people died because I can't seem to stay out of trouble, I hope they find the letter I left for them and eventually understand my reasons, Mikasa, Armin, I'm Sorry......... But I need you to understand what is about to happen, I just want all of this to end! I just want to live a normal life, I can't be the person who decides Humanities Fate, of all people it could've been it had to be me, the only way to end this is by going back to Wall Maria, back to the Singashina District, back to where my mother was eaten by a Titan, I'm talking about the Cellar in my home my father promised to show me before he died. Maybe I'll find my answers there but what if I don't then I don't know what I'll do. But I do know this, I can't be a Survey Corps Member anymore, I should just disappear and make them forget who I was, it'll be hard but I know it's the right choice. I'm not sure if I'll see them again nor talk to them, but I do know one thing is that I'll have fulfilled my role whatever that means.'

Mikasa and Armin, rush towards the base entrance and went straight to Erwin, Hange and Levi and inform them that Eren has disappeared.

Mikasa: "Erens gone missing........." Mikasa shouted with such venom that tears started streaming down her eyes. She was out of breath as it is  and eventually fell to the floor.

Armin: "He ran off to our cabin room and locked the door, by the time Mikasa broke the door he was nowhere to be seen" Armin said while he was huffing and puffing out of exhaustion.

Erwin: "He couldn't have gotten far, we'll immobilise a search squad, do you have any idea where he might have gone?"

Armin: "No sir, we just saw him run into the cabin in a hurry, we thought it was nothing that we should worry about, but we were mistaken"

Hange was thinking to herself for a second and came up with an answer
Hange: "If I know Eren, then I do know that he'll put his comrades safety first, but after seeing him stare at those corpses, I have a bad feeling he may end up taking his life or even worse someone may have gotten to him" Hange stated.

Mikasa gasped at Hange's Theory but she refused to believe any of it, she was worried enough and doesn't want to think about Eren Dying.

Levi: "Tsk........... That brat can't seem to stay out of trouble, we'll find him, and once we do, he's staying in a cell for god sake"

Mikasa gave Levi one of her Death Glares, like she was ready to pounce on the squirt, but she restrained herself in the end and focused on the target at hand.
