There Comes A Time

Chapter 23: Leaders

The Levi Squad left the base they were stationed at, it turns out Erwin had a sneaky trick up his sleeve, one the Survey Corps did not see coming. Armin was tasked alongside Eren and Mikasa, as well as the others to locate and execute Erwin's Bombers. This was an important task that they cannot fail. Levi would not be happy, he's one and only job is to protect humanity and eliminate threats.

Armin had a worried look on his face, he was sweating uncontrollably.

Armin: "Guys hold up for a minute....." Armin said.

They all stopped their horses by grabbing on their reins and pulling them to a halt.

Eren: "You okay Armin?" Eren asked.

Armin looked at the others with a worry some look, he started panicking, they all knew Armin was strong inside but they've never seen him panic like this before.

Eren: "Woah Woah Armin calm down, I know you're scared about this" Eren said while trying to console Armin

Armin slowed down his breathing and took a big gasp.

Armin: "It's just.......I've never been  handed a task like this before" Armin replied back.

Mikasa also approached him.

Mikasa: "Armin...we know you have second thoughts about this...but you have to remember who the enemy is." Mikasa said back.

Armin: "Right......" Armin said nervously. That got him back up and on his Horse.

The rest agreed with Mikasa, as they continued riding their horses to the Town Square, Erwin was very sneaky, he left no instructions on where his Soldiers were located, he toyed with them, wanted to see how good their new Commander was.

They all stopped their horses once they approached the Square. Armin got down first and laid down a plan in front of everyone, one that he believes could actually work. Eren and Mikasa and the others shifted their gaze towards Armin.

Armin: "Okay everyone listens up, here is a Map of the Square, it's quite big but could work to our advantage, if my hunch is correct then Former Commander Erwin would want to attack the City from Four different corners, if he sent 200 then we will have 50 Soldiers Stationed at each of those areas, we wait for them to approach and we strike them down before they have the chance we'll need the best group for this"

They all gave him a look, a confused look to be in fact.

Soldier: "So you're telling us to wait for them to Attack?"

Armin gave a stern look back at him, one meant to strike fear, but he dropped the frown and looked back towards the map.

Armin: "In a way.........yes, we're relying on a hunch of mine, it doesn't matter if you trust me or not"

The Solider was about to say something inexcusable but Mikasa intervened.

Mikasa: "If Armin says this is an advantage.........then you listen" Mikasa said back. The SC Soldier backed off.

Eren: "If Armin says this could work then I trust him, those who have different opinions then leave right now" Eren said.

Armin felt a bit embarrassed hearing Eren his best friend complement him.

Armin: "You must remember that Levi would have our heads if we failed." Armin said while looking down.

They all agreed with him, time for action.

Armin laid down the plan that he believes would bring them victory, it was a plan that didn't involve everyone in the City, Armin believes that there would be less casualties if they moved them self away and positioned themself at four different vantage points, where a select group of snipers would be ready and soldiers standing in front readying their 3DMG Gear.

Connie: "Wow Arlert" Connie said while patting him on the back, "Your say always works" Connie said.

They all had their jobs and each left the, 50 SC Soldiers went to four of the Vantage Points.

Armin tagged along with Eren and Mikasa, he wanted to see if there was any chance of reasoning with them.

They made it to one of the Vantage Points, the other groups shot up a Green Flare to indicate that they have arrived and are ready. Armin started sensing the inevitable.

'Is my hunch correct? What if I'm wrong.........what if people get killed because of me' Armin thought.

Immediately a massive group jumped down from the top of the walls, it was a lot. The people had some sort of thick clothing on, as well as a few tight ropes covering whatever was underneath. The group of Bombers gave a cringy smile one that ticked of the Soldiers.

Armin told them to stand down, he wanted to see if he can reason with them.

But the group gave them no time to try as they all ran up to Armins's group, Armin gave the signal to the Snipers, they agreed and started taking shots, they were shooting the people who had one thing on their mind, to cause devastation to a Humanity who had faced threats from the Titans.

The soldiers on the front line moved in and decided to take out the people who had weapons, they used their 3DMG and propelled up and headed in the direction of the group who meant harm. Metals were clashing with each other, sniper shots were heard, people crying out in pain, blood being spilled on a clean bit of land.

16 Minutes later, the group of Bombers were taken out, surprisingly no one out of Armins's group suffered a hit.

SCSoldier 1: "THAT'S RIGHT YOU BASTARDS TRY MESSING WITH US" one Soldier shouted.

SCSoldier 2: "TAKE THAT YOU DAMN DEVILS" another Soldier said.

Armin shot up a flare into the Sky a green one, he immediately got a response from the other three corners of the City, they were green as well, indicating that they were able to pull of a disaster awaiting them.

One of the Bombers was still alive and was moving ever so slightly, Armin approached him.

Armin: "We could've talked this out" said Armin.

He hesitated for a second, but stabbed him straight through the chest. The rest gave a shocked look. Erwin's sneaky trick was put down and next was the Former Commander himself.
