Partners in Crime • Number 5 {ON HOLD}

𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝟷𝟹

'If you wanna take him, you're gonna have to go through me.'

By the time Eva and Klaus escaped successfully it was dark, the two bickered about how Klaus didn't follow the plan that Eva set out. Heading into the academy they go to the kitchen before dumping what they managed to get on the table. They equally split the loot.

Looking at the clock that hung above the door Eva sighed "I should start heading back to Five." She walked around the kitchen, picking up a spare plastic bag and shoving the snacks in. "Hey, hey, hey. I though we were having a best friend day." Klaus whined making Eva laugh and raise a brow. "Since when did I say that?"

"When you said 'hey Klaus, you know how you're my favourite Hargreeves? Wanna hang out today and rob stores and get high?"

She shook her head at Klaus's made up words, she chucked a bar of chocolate at him. "I did not say that!" She walked out the kitchen yelling as she left "But you are my favourite!"

Eva bumped into Allison on her way out, making her abruptly stop "Hey, Eva." She greeted the girl with a smile. Eva smiled back at her "Oh, I've been meaning to ask, do you have any old clothes that I could wear?" Eva asked as the thought popped into her head. Allison nodded before telling her to dive deep into her wardrobe to find them. Eva thanked her before jogging up the stairs and towards the hall that lead to the bedrooms.

She went into Allison's room and started to dive into her wardrobe. Eventually she found clean clothes that would fit her, she shut the bedroom door. While getting changed she heard footsteps echo in the hallway. She tensed up, listening closely.

There were two of them.

Quickly shrugging on the rest of the clothes she quietly walked over to the door, pressing her ear against it.

They stopped outside the door... Holding her breath she strained her ears to hear even the slightest noise. The footsteps spread into the room next to the one she was in, she could hear muffled voices. Even though the voices were quiet she could safely say that they didn't belong to any of the Hargreeves.

They were armed, the footsteps retreated back down the hallway. She let out the air she kept in her lungs. Creaking the door open slowly she stepped out and started to tail them. Stopping at every corner and peering around it before continuing. Eva's eyes landed on a katana, perfectly placed on display. She creeped over to it and took it down, unsheathing it slightly to observe it.

She walked past Klaus's room to see him inside dancing to music. She sighed closing his open door, trying to protect him from the outside world.

Suddenly gunshots echoed throughout the academy, Eva sprinted towards the noise. She strapped the katana to her back and came face to face with a shocked Diego, looking over his shoulder she saw Cha Cha and Hazel. Guns loaded they took shots at them, Eva pushed Diego behind her as she created a shield. Diego grabbed her elbow dragging her with him as he ran away from them. Eva shook him off and Diego dived over the railing onto the couch below before taking cover. "You're crazy Batman!" She yelled after him. Straining to hold off their incoming fire, still not recovered from yesterdays events.
