He opened the front door into his dark and quiet house which as a stark contrast to what was happening outside.  One Voight knew oliver may not take to well too after all that happened tonight. Which is why he took it slow up the stairs and called up to Oliver up the stairs to to meet him at the top of the stairs. Hank watched his step up the stairs, focusing on his mussel memory of his house. He was so stuck in his momentary focus he didn't even hear Oliver's steps until he was right in front of hank, hiding behind the wall peeking out at him with one eye looking around the corner.
"Hey Oliver we're going for a ride to the station. You want to see my police car? I know how much you like cars" he said smiling as he ran a hand around oliver's fragile shoulders. He was met with some resistance and refusal from oliver but with a gentle hand oliver started down the stairs. Hank followed oliver at the same pace with an extra blanket on his shoulder which he used to swaddle oliver in,  which covered him completely even hiding his little bare feet.
"Mr.Hank I....I don't wanna" Oliver whimpered looking up at the flashing chaos coming from the windows in the door. Hank looked to the windows then back at Oliver's red and blue illuminated face. His eyes were vacant and jumbled, wrought with fear.
"If you're scared just close your eyes, I'll carry ya. Especially with those bare little feet of yours" he smiled, "they'll get frozen to the ground if you're not careful" he said jokingly, pointing at his feet.
"No no, to cold" Oliver shook his head and shuffled his feet. The frozen expression on Oliver's face melted slightly towards Hank warranting a mirrored smile from him as well.
"Alright let's go do this" Hank said as he picked up Oliver in his arms and opened the door to the flashing chaos outside.
