The sudden change in noise and temperature hit Oliver making him to shiver and clutch Hank's shoulders a little tighter. When the house came into clearer view surrounded by police and movement oliver pulled the blanket over his head completely covering his face. Oliver turned his head towards Hank, cautiously laying his head down in the crook of his neck and shoulder. When Hank didn't shrug him off Oliver gave in to the melody of Hank's muddled steps and breathing taking away the sound of his world coming down around him. Things only got more quieter when hank buckled Oliver in his seat in the back of the patrol car after an officer helped put the car seat in. Hank thanked the officer before jumping behind the wheel rolling the car away into the darkness swiftly. The farther and farther they got from the scene the happier and calmer oliver seemed to become. He kept his gaze out the window watching all the sleeping houses breezing past them by and all the street lights that shined into the window. Hank would glance into his rear view mirror at oliver and thought about trying to make conversation. But when he saw the static confusion and fear had melted away from Oliver's face and replaced by a blank quiet expression Hank couldn't bring himself to speak. He didn't want to disrupt the only peace and quiet the boy would probably get tonight. So much was already said and done and it'd only be a matter of time before he'd be thrown back into the frey again which no little kid like Oliver should be. Probably the most upsetting and angering part of this situation was that a parentless, innocent seven year old kid was caught in the middle of what would gravely impact adults and the worst part? This was normal and hank could tell all Oliver wanted was stability and someone who'd want him which is what every child vitally needed. Thoughts of seething fury and disgust flooded hank's mind. He was definitely more than willing to tare into these delusional and distrusting people for what they did, and especially for what they didn't do. He'd get justice for the boy. Logically that's all he could do. But deep down hank knew there had to be more he could do. There had to be. But hank knew he had to push those thoughts from his mind and focus on the interrogations and what information he could beat out of them in order to get the two locked away. Luckily for hank, his crew, and ollie they had buried themselves too far to wiggle free and hank would be the one to nail their coffins shut. At this point that's all he could do.
