"Sarge, Sarge, you good, you good?" Jay asked rushing over to Voight who was on the ground with blood streaming down his forehead and face. Kevin and Adam jumped on top of a burly, middle-aged white man who was only feet away from Voight. He was roaring, swinging, and still trying to get to Voight who had already waved Jay away and stumbled onto his feet to retrieve his gun that had been forced from his hands in the tussle.  Voight rubbed his nose and ribs with a sharp breath as Jay got to his side to help him up, this help of which, Voight waved off.

"Get the d*** handcuffs on him!" Voight barked as he stomped towards the offender and helped Adam and Kevin get the man to his feet. The two shoved the offender towards the patrol car as Kim and Hailey lead a small group of kids from a back room to the ambulances waiting outside. After making sure there were no more children or suspects hiding out Jay made his way back to Voight standing at his patrol car.

"Offenders went got out the west side through a broken window then jumped into an old Ford Cargo Van, an officer got a partial plate, we're running it now. Once we get a hit a bolo will be sent out" Jay informed as he approached. Voight nodded hearing this as two medics tried to step in and patch him up but with the scowl they could see on his face, they didn't dare interrupt him until he let them.

"Lock Markus in holding, when we get back we run him into the ground until he gives up the other pigs" Hank ordered Jay. "And call Platt, tell me when he's secured," Hank said holding Jay's shoulder to keep him in place and keeping his voice low. Jay nodded dutifully, "Yes sir I'll confirm once I know," he replied. Leaving Hank to the medics to patch him up, though it wouldn't be that easy. Voight was wound up over this case that was far from over. A child trafficing ring that worked across the country, possibly responsible for many of missing persons cases concerning children under the age of 15. Another very concerning detail was the large possibility that this group had business connections with international black market child smuggling rings. The FBI had been working closely with Intelligence and quite well. They had just busted the branch of the ring working in Chicago and a few nearby cities in Illinois which would cut down on transport of children from the states to Canada by at least fivefold which would cut down on losses while officials and FBI worked hard in the south to stop transportation over the border into Mexico and Guatemala. They were making quick progress and the rest would begin to crumble quickly, but that still didn't make the case any easier or Hank any less furious and disgusted. All he could keep thinking of was how many others were still out there, and what if Oliver was one of the missing? No. Over his dead body, he'd keep Oliver safe and home and that's how it would stay.

After some time he waved off the medics after stopping the bleeding around his face and an icepack for the bruising over his ribs. He was fine he had to get back to work. There was a slimeball just waiting to be beat and locked away to rot in a cell and more importantly someone waited for him to come back to him. He shooed off the medics and jumped into his car navigating the crowd of FBI and other officers with ease back to the street.

Jay went down the stairs quickly from the Intelligence office to the front desk where Sargent Platt was working away on files and the computer right next to the phone on which he had talked to her earlier on his way back to the station. Before he got to the desk Trudy heard Jay's footsteps and looked up.

"Oh Jay good you're here. Oliver's safe and fine, just a little on edge" she said taking her glasses off.

"No prob Sarge I can take it from here" he nodded as Trudy let him behind the desk into her office where a tiny body was curled up in a chair behind the desk. Oliver's face peered out from under his fluffy fire orange hair timidly until he completely saw who came in. Once he did he lifted his head from behind his knees with a look of slight excitement and releif. His eyes were heavy and his face worn from being tight with nerves and alertness. As he uncurled to meet Jay's face his body even seemed heavy for him and slow to move. He was tired and worn down trying not to let the scary things come for him and just being in the same busy place for how long he had been there.
