I Am A Titan - Chapter 14

I carried Zeke away from the crown of soldiers. Then for some reason, I started to run towards the forest. I made it to the middle of the forest, when I heard rustles in the distance. I stopped and listened, people were near that were not the Survey Corps. I placed Zeke in my mouth and ran off out of the forest. I heard horses, and turned my head around as I ran, seeing them running behind me. Damn, I knew they would follow me.

I took Zeke into my hand and of course he was awake now, so he bit his hand and transformed. We both roared at the same time. Titans started running to the area and Zeke started throwing them at the Survey Corps. Erwin was killed during this time, which took its toll on everyone's emotions. Reiner and Bertolt showed up but quickly escaped our grasp.

They were debating letting Zeke live for questioning, but they were taking too long as I was still fighting him. I swiftly ended the fight by ripping his body in half. The Survey Corps turned their attention to me when they heard the loud scream from Zeke's form. And as fast as I tore him in half, I took a big chomp to his nape. The Survey Corps watched in horror as they hurt the crunching of bones as I chewed up and killed my nephew, Zeke Jaeger. I walked over to them, with his blood evaporating off of my face, "Any questions you would have had for him, I can answer. You took too long, and I was too angry."

A random soldier came up to me, "I thought you were on our side... I thought you didn't eat humans!"

I bent down and stared him right in the eyes, "I am a titan."

He started shaking and backed away, "Y-Yo-You're a MONSTER!"

I laughed, "Oh, and you just now noticed?"

I wrapped my fingers around his torso and gently picked him up. The rest of the Survey Corps drew their weapons and surrounded me. Hange yelled, "As the new commander of the Survey Corps, are you our ally or our enemy!"

"I am neither, I never have been either." I looked over to Historia who was silently standing in the background, I pointed to her, "She knows what I truly am, she's seen it. So why don't you ask your queen, the one I have served for many years, who I am?"

Hange turns to Historia, "What is Liz?"

Historia looks away, "Liz isn't the worse person in the world. She does her best to do good things, and she does things that she thinks is the best for the world. But... I have seen Liz at her worst. Liz used to eat people... A lot of people. To many, Liz was a monster and still is a monster. She will eat people if she feels like it, and won't let anyone know because she likes to act innocent. Liz deceived us all, this whole time she has been eating people, and I only know that because I have known Liz my whole life and I remember these words she told me once as a child, 'I enjoy eating them, hearing their cries and their crunching bones. Sometimes I feel guilty, but I can't help but enjoy it because I am a titan afterall.' And from that day forward, I knew the real Liz, and trusted her even more, since she was honest. She won't eat any of you... well maybe, it depends on how she views you. But if we don't do anything now, that man in her arms... Liz will eat him!"

I chuckled, "You were always one to be so honest, Historia," I turned to Hange, "You heard the girl. Now you know what I really am, a hungry titan with the desire to hear the cries of humans beneath my jaws."

Hange looked in a lot of emotional pain, "Liz... have you been tricking us this whole time? How much of what you told us is lies?"

"Do you want the honest answer?" Hange nodded at me, "Two things I have lied about; One, you already know, I eat humans. The second..." I stare into Hange's soul, "It wasn't an accident."

Hange looks confused, "What do you mean?"

Armin comes rushing forward, "Commander Hange, from the information I have collected, Liz means to say that it wasn't an accident that she started the titan virus. To put in more simply, she purposely started it and has had full control of her powers this whole time."

"Hmm, you really are a clever boy." I chuckled and tapped my chin, "Well, Humanity, now you know. But listen to these words, I do have my regrets. I regret eating certain humans and I part of me regrets starting the virus. But, it is my nature, I am their queen. I'll make the decision for you, I will leave. The next time we meet, I may be your enemy on the battlefield, but in the span of the universe, I am your ally."

I bring the man in my hands closer to my mouth, Hange, Eren, and many other soldiers eyes widen, Levi just turns away. I throw him in my mouth and chomp down, his blood splattering everywhere.

I laugh, "I told you all from the beginning and you refused to listen; I am a titan. Anyways, farewell humanity."

I stand up and run at full speed, opposite of Wall Rose. They watch me jump over Wall Maria, and I head off to what they think is no where and little did we all know, our next battle was going to be very soon.
