Who Shall Win? Who Shall Survive? - Chapter 22

I was watching the fights continue. The entire brigade was murdered in Wall Maria, leaving Levi alone, while Hange and her squad were no where in sight. Reiner was in titan form yet again and Armin and Eren were working on capturing Bertolt, who of course transformed. Annie was running from the forest to my father, her war chief. My father just stood there with his platinum hair, similar titan form to Eren's, but about 25 meters. I was bigger of course! I had a feeling as to what was about to happen.

Levi started using as much gas as he could to gather up incredible speed towards my father. Annie was coming from behind and tried to kick my father, but he blocked. I noticed Mikasa and Hange took out Reiner, I guess Hange's back in game. Armin was struggles with Bertolt and I noticed him disappear as Eren showed up and captured Bertolt out of his titan form.

On the other side of the wall, Levi and Annie were struggling. Levi seemed to have used all of his energy and adrenaline and Annie was hardly able to stay inside her nape. I knew my father had trained for this moment, he must have known I would eventually show up or transform. Inside, Eren looked very concerned and frightened on top of a house roof, Annie and Levi were coming towards Shiganshina as I flew over to Eren and....Armin?

"Eren!" I run over to him, his eyes don't leave his friend, tears spilling everywhere.

His voice cracks, "D-do you have the serum?"

"No, but Levi is on his way... Eren?" I look at him.

"What?" He responds.

I force him to look at me, "He will eat Bertolt, prepare to fly off when Armin transforms. Got it?"

He looks shocked, "Y-yes!"

By this time, Levi arrives, but my father snatches him up and opens his mouth.

"LEVIII!" I scream as I fly to my father and cut up his hand so Levi is free, but his other hand comes swiping at me, and his long claws pierce me through my chest and heart. "AAAGHH!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

Levi's face stops and Eren can no longer speak, both can't fight from the shock. Hange and the rest arrive at the perfect time to see my torture. My father flings me across Shiganshina and Levi immediately comes fly at me as my body flies like a rag doll. During this, my father is able to escape outside of the walls.

Levi wasn't able to catch my dismantled body, but retrieved me and flew back to the 9 left who survived. He laid me down with the rest. Everyone was very concerned and Mikasa kept an eye on Armin's breathing.

Unable to move, my eyes wonder to the group and I start to speak with a broken voice, barely able to breath, "That man... was my father."

"WHAT?" Says the squad.

"Yes... I knew he would come, but his power was more than I thought and my sudden movements caused this to happen to me..." I trail off.

Eren moves in to talk as everyone surrounds my broken body, "But-but you'll be okay right? Since you're immortal?"

I look away, "I'm sorry."

Levi grabs the serum and prepares to inject me but I stop him, "Only someone of my direct bloodline can kill me. That is the secret to my demise, my power. I am immortal till stabbed in the heart by someone of my bloodline... my father."

Levi moves to inject me again, but I shove it away from me, "I am already a titan, save the boy. He is more important, I know his future. Save him."

Everyone could visibly see Levi shake, I look at him and he looks at me as I speak, "Levi.." I touch my palm to his cheek, "The time I have spent with you has been a gift. I never knew a monster like me could fall in love again and to know I made a change in this world, in humanity has been one of the greatest gifts of all, but meeting you again, loving you with all my heart, has been the greatest gift a monster like me doesn't deserve. I love you."

I started to fade away, my consciousness slipping away from me, "I love you, I love you all."

My world goes black.

"MOM!"

Annie, no! How can I hear her?

I hear Hange stopping my daughter as she tries to kill Levi. "Annie, this is what your mother wanted. We must do that, she is our queen and our beloved friend, we must respect that." Hange speaks to my daughter, holding her back as Levi gives the serum to Armin. I feel a rumble and a loud crash.

Armin was a titan. I could hear the crunch and screams of Bertolt.

Time didn't seem to work properly in my head.

Now Armin was crying? He must have woken up and Eren explained everything to him. They must have moved my body.

How am I hearing this?

I suddenly realize a plan by Grisha is taking its course. I make my body steam up like a titan, like it's disintegrating.

I feel air fill into my lungs. My body shoots out of its slumber and I open my eyes, taking a harsh breath. The group seems to be crowding around Armin, they won't notice me slip away. I start running away to the edge of Shiganshina to eventually transform and leave the walls. I can hear people start talking, "Do you see that person running?"

"Nah, you must be hallucinating."

I transform and jump off the wall.

I hear a loud scream. Levi. "LIZ IS MISSING!"

Shit.

I run at a fast pace, out of sight in no time, nor do they have the time and equipment to come and get me. I can feel my titan eyes water as I detransform, over 100 miles away by now from the walls.

I stand at the foot of the ocean, staring down upon my reflection. I look for awhile and notice on my face, I have a slight wrinkle on my forehead. That wasn't there before, but then it dawns on me.

I stopped aging 500 years ago.

But this wrinkle must mean...

I'm aging again.
