Soaring high above the sky was a huge carrier, nearly twenty miles above the vast North Pacific Ocean on a straight path towards its first destination, Dino Island. The carrier looked like a highly modified jet plane, the entire build being much larger than a regular private owned jet. It was nearly triple the size with almost double the power. There were no windows except at the front where the pilot seats were located, driven by two expert fliers trained to be the MRaCD's finest. This hulking vehicle was known as the Blinker, known for their incredibly faster speeds and surprisingly powerful weapons. Blinking in and out of enemies sight was its only purpose other than transportation. Right up the back ramp, which took up half of the entire vehicle, would be a ladder up to the next rooms. Three to be precise. One was a living quarters for longer trips such as this one. It came equipped with bedding for nearly twenty people, and food storage for thirty. The second room was a meeting space for the commanders of the missions that these Blinkers were sent on, with a full display table and everything. The final room was at the front, the cockpit able to hold a crew of up to six people at a time.
"This thing is awesome!" Eli exclaimed joyfully from the living space while everyone else sat down in the meeting room.
"Yeah it is. There were five of these babies built before they got discontinued. These were made before we went public, so there wasn't really any need for huge hulking fliers to be going around rising suspicions in the communities. We didn't get rid of them just in case an accident did occur and we did need to go public, so now we get to use them," Miller explained as Eli stepped up to the door and listened.
"So these were basically warships for the MRaCD," Damien mumbled disgruntled by the sight of it all.
"Their original purpose was, yes. In case we needed to launch a full scale counter offensive if the Mythic got too cocky was going to be their main goal, but the idea got scraped in turn for the idea of personal Mystic and Dragon flight. But that wastes the Mystic and Dragon's energy, which is why we're not flying there with just you guys right now. Not to mention," Miller smiled, "I don't think I'd enjoy riding on one of your guy's back when you go at such fast speeds with no protection."
"So where are we going exactly?" Damien asked.
"Dino Island," Zayne replied, looking to Miller.
Miller reached down and pressed a button on a control panel that rested in front of his seat inside of the display table before them all. Instantly a huge holographic image pulled up of files and documents. It was like a huge computer desktop but in 3D. Miller reached over and tapped a folder that opened up three files, the first one labeled Dino Island. When he tapped the file the entire screen shifted and warped, the image of the desktop like icons vanishing as the layout of an island took shape. A massive range of mountains surrounded the land, blocking it off from the ocean and the outside world except in a few small spaces. The inner workings of the island were clearly visible despite the blockade. Lush forests and swamps laced the grounds as smaller mountains and hills within the land dotted the screen. A single volcano rested in a back corner of the display, smoke rising from it as if it were ready to explode at any moment. It never would though. It smoked, but it lied dormant and would remain that way forever. MRaCD protective Mystic services prevented it from erupting ever again.
"Dino Island is about the size Britain all around, but that's only covering the total ground ratio. Factoring in the mountain ranges and the hills and we've got about enough land to flatten out to the size of Germany. It's pretty big. Apart from the obvious Dino Force members there is another reason why this island is called Dino Island. Due to the natural barriers around the island it is protected from most outer world climates and changes. So when dinosaurs migrated here looking for food and such before their extinction the island broke off from Pangea and formed this protective safari zone, which prevented the extinction of the dinosaurs here. All sorts of prehistoric things live here, which makes it a dangerous place for someone who doesn't know it like the back of their hand," Miller explained.
"The Dino Force members here are tribal, but they live a more modern lifestyle than you may think. Nearly eighty percent of the entire Dino Force population lives here, but occasionally scouts will go out and learn new technologies or adapt old ones for newer use, and thus the Dino Force members live in a technological era with the dinosaurs as their pets basically," Zayne added in from his own research.
"That sounds freaking amazing," Eli childishly noted.
"MRaCD officials have given the Dino Force members here their peace and privacy as they requested when we found them here years ago, so we're not sure how they'll react when we come flying in to ask for their help. But, if they see another Dino Force member like yourself Eli, they might be more inclined to listen since we have your trust," Miller finished.
"Where would we land this thing if they don't have landing pads and such?" Damien asked, studying the lay of the land for anything that might answer his question.
Miller zoomed in on the display and pinpointed a large open field in the forest. Surrounding it were hills and swampland, but it was their best option. Damien sat back in his seat and questioned the option thoroughly. They would be at a height disadvantage. If they couldn't see approaching creatures, they might be losing a few precious moments of time to convince the other two forces to help. Zayne seemed to be thinking of the same problem.
"I know," Miller spoke after seeing their faces, "But the only other two options we had were at the volcano, which is on the other side of the island from the tribes, or right smack in the middle of the swamp which would lengthen the trip by a considerable amount of time."
"Where is the tribe exactly?" Eli asked.
Miller moved the display across the land to the opposite end of the island, nearly five miles from their landing spot, to a darker unexplored corner of the land. It was a blank space which signalled to everyone that they hadn't seen exactly what the Dino tribe had in there.
"Rather a secret bunch aren't they," Damien chuckled to himself, "What's back there? I dino."
"OH MY GOD YOU DID NOT," Zayne growled.
"I dino, did I?" Damien began laughing out loud now, catching a slight chuckle from Miller and Eli.
"I'm gonna hurt you the minute we land this thing," Zayne promised.
"What? You gonna break my spinosaurus?" Damien erupted into an uncontrollable laughter.
"Stop! Stop! I can't breathe!" Eli wheezed from the doorway, leaning against the frame.
"Sir," a pilot called from the cockpit through the comms.
"Go on," Miller barely pulled himself together as Zayne tried strangling Damien in the background.
"We will arrive at the island in ten minutes," the pilot stated as the comms unit closed out.
"Alright guys, here we go," Miller got up and gently pushed Damien and Zayne apart while Eli continued struggling to breathe as the puns continued to replay in his mind.
