Chapter 49 - The Ancient Forces Trio

Eli evaded the lightning lazer, then charged forward with claws extended and ready for the attack. Tiberius quickly shifted his arm around and swung the sword horizontally, forcing Eli to duck below the blade. Quickly Dragon Hunter threw up his leg and connected with Eli's chin, sending him hurling back into the wall of a nearby building. Bursting from the smoke seconds later was Eli once again, tackling Tiberius across the road and into the large, open grass field in front of the school that Zayne had first chased Eli across all those months ago. The green and brown kicked up across the field as Eli drove Tiberius further into the dirt, only stopped when his fist clashed with the blade and sent him flying from the hole. Tiberius climbed from his half dug grave and wiped his mouth, a trickle of red coming off on his finger. He growled. That wasn't supposed to happen. Not this early. He needed to stop playing with his food and just get it over with. If he didn't, well, this little nightmare just might actually win.

As Eli was coming in for another round Tiberius slammed a foot into the ground, digging it deep into the soil. When he was firmly planted he forced a blue wave of energy through the appendage, freezing over the entire land around them. A massive pillar of ice shot out from the ground, approaching the unstoppable green ball that charged forward. Just before connecting however Eli's legs warped and shifted in size, transforming into two Utahraptor legs that launched himself into the air, then slid down the pillar of ice right on top of his enemy. Tiberius smiled as his plan worked better than he hoped, his arms combining together and firing a different pillar of fire directly connecting with Eli. Bursting from the flames, untouched by their damage, came Eli's still morphed leg that smashed itself deeply into Tiberius' face, sending him to the ground in grovelling pain. Instead of focusing on it Dragon Hunter retaliated, grabbing Eli's leg and slamming him into the frozen ground. When he came back up Tiberius slammed a fist into his gut, pinning him against the ground.

Eli took the hits but wasn't even fazed, the injuries still obviously painful but not dwelled upon. Eli jumped up from his disadvantaged spot and evaded another pillar of ice approaching, then smashed the next attack to pieces and created a huge Ankylosaurus tail to use instead of his fists, which were getting colder and colder each second that passed by. When Tiberius missed another lightning lazer attack from the sword Eli charged back in, moving for another head on assault.

"Is that seriously all you got!?" Eli insulted as he jumped above, then swung his tail down clashing with both of Tiberius' arms.

Tiberius was sick of this insolent child's games. He grabbed the tail and pulled it in, then whipped out his sword and swung at Eli's chest. A quick gust of his wings kept anything vital from the sword, but Eli's leg was gashed across the knee by the blade sending red liquids everywhere. Still in Tiberius' grasp Eli spun around with his other leg and connected it to Dragon Hunter's jaw, but screamed in pain as Tiberius' now open hand sank claws deep into the tail he had, forcing him to retract it and the pain. When he was done Dragon Hunter slammed Eli into the ground and smashed a foot onto his chest, cutting off his air and pinning him to the ground. Eli was unable to move, unable to breath, and out of options to fight back with. He weakly moved an arm over Tiberius' foot and tried to smash it as hard as he could, but the energy and the air wasn't there. He tried taking one last desperate gasp of air before everything started blacking out around him.

"Of all the forces on this planet, the Dragon Force is the only one that is perfect. It is the only one that can fulfil what these humans and these other forces can only dream of. But on the opposite spectrum, the one force that is so imperfect it only works negatively is the Dino Force. A band of monsters who wanted to be like us but failed and instead settled for those demon forms. You, Midnight Horror, you are their Devil, and I am the Dragons Force's prophet. I will cleanse you from this sacred planet, and when I finally get the Dragon's Heart I will make the dinosaurs extinct again," Tiberius promised as he watched the final seconds of Eli's life drain away.
