Percy's stomach had improved over the past five days, but it still hurts to bent in some fashion, most sitting actually. Which made the Christmas that New Jericho was throwing for androids and the humans they knew were pro-android a bit of a problem.

At least, when he's been sitting for the past three hours watching the androids open the gifts they got for one another. Estelle was playing with some of the android kids in a game of soccer with Mrs.O'Leary was watching over them vigilantly.

Percy himself got a surprising amount of gifts, at least, compared to previous years. Some of the android had heard he was the first place to give androids money (though the title was kinda cheating because he gave them money before the revolution and was the only place to do so) so some of the androids decided to give him a thank you.

It was confusing though, because some of the packages said rA9 and Percy just figured that maybe they didn't know his name but rather saw his tattoo or something.

With his packages mostly off to the side, ready to be either shipped for donation (with android permission) or ready to be sent to the office to sort from there, Percy was feeling tired, sore, and ready to just go to Elijah's to get drunk like the previous year.

God he wished he had a whiskey. But apparently, dating an android medical taker meant that they disapproved alcohol as a source of hurting the pain.

It was bullshit in Percy's opinion, but he allowed his boyfriend to take away his alcohol, mostly because he didn't want to worry the android and because he knew that Elijah would supply him some if he ever got out of the damn party.

He was waiting for Carl to show up, mostly to distract Markus for the night, and he knew Connor wanted him to formally meet Lieutenant Anderson without the threat of Owen over his head.

Sighing and wishing the pain from his stomach from the many bruises on his chest, Percy let his head fall back onto the couch and close his eyes, hoping to try and distract his mind.

"Hey," A soft voice asked that Percy knew was Markus', "are you alright?"

Markus had lifted his hand and placed it softly on Percy's stomach, and watched his boyfriend flinch at the touch.

"Sore?" Markus asked and Percy nodded silently.

Percy watched curiously as Markus had the face which Percy called his thinking face, "Why don't you head to my room, get some rest? I can get you when it's time to leave?" Markus asked softly and ignored the party going on around them.

"I was planning on heading up to Elijah's," Percy said hesitantly with a small blush.

Markus smiled at his boyfriend. "I know," Markus said with a small grin, "Don't think I haven't noticed you eyeing the door. Just...try not to get too wasted. I know Lucas is taking Estelle for the night, especially as your mom flies in from Africa. How has her travels been?" Markus asked.

Percy let a smile dance over his features. "She's doing really well. I think she really needed it. Just seeing the world and the natives of Africa has really helped her. She told me that when she comes home, she'll be here for a while. She wants to try to move from her grief with Paul, but I know it'll be a bit before she really settles down with anyone for a while," Percy said, happy that his mother was starting to get to the final stages of her grief.

"That's good to hear," Markus said, twisting his body so his hand was perched on the back of the couch and rested his head against his hand, all the while looking adoringly at Percy.

"Want me to drop you off at Elijah's? Haven't seen him in a while."

"He might be a douche. Did Connor tell you what he had him do when he and his partner visited near the end of the revolution?"
