When Markus had finally proposed to Percy, there wasn't some sort of public, open area. There wasn't really anything important happening around them.

The only special thing was that they were standing in the middle of their house that was Carl's brother house but had five bedrooms upstairs. One of the bedrooms was being used as Markus' office, as the downstairs windowed area was used for Markus' painting and leading into the open area for Percy's swimming pool.

After much discussion between themselves, the duo had decided upon building a house, Elijah had helped actually which surprised both of them as they had only briefly mentioned the thought of building a house to their friend.

Next thing they knew, instead of needing to wait months for the house to be built, Elijah had enlisted some of the androids help from New Jericho and the house was built in no time.

"This place is amazing," Percy breathed as he stared as the open space that was their living room.

Markus' regulator beated slightly faster as his hand made his way to his pocket. Now would be the perfect chance, with Percy just enough distracted that he wouldn't initially notice Markus on one knee.

Nervous, but not actually scared, Markus took the box from his long coat pocket and rested on knee on the ground. He couldn't stop looking at Percy, waiting for the man he so loves to look his way.

And finally, Percy had. And then their eyes met, Percy's smile lite the man's face that Markus just knew he would be painting for as long as he could.

"We have known each other for nearly two years now. And every moment of everyday you have given me life, love, and happiness. There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for you having met Elijah and then deciding to Prank Call Carl. With all of my heart, my happiness, and the life that you have so helped make possible. Perseus Jackson, would you do the honors of being my husband?" Markus breathed out waiting for Percy's reaction.

His heart skipped a beat as Percy gave a small, shocked laugh. "Funny thing, I was going to ask you the same thing," his boyfriend replied as he reached from his own pocket to grab a black ring case that was hidden there.

Laughing as tears started to build in the corner of their eyes, Percy and Markus launched toward each other and met in the middle for a strong embrace and kiss that spoke volumes unsaid.

"If you didn't know, that would be a thousand times yes," Percy whispered against Markus' lips.

Giving a small, happy laugh Markus moved slightly away from Percy to put the ring he had gotten for Percy on his hand, while not their wedding ring, it will serve its purpose as their engagement ring.

Percy did the same thing after receiving his engagement ring, he grabbed the one he had gotten for Markus and helped the android put it on his own finger.

"Through the years, I have watched you become more than a machine. Your feelings reflected throughout all of me as you grew into the person I know you are. You are loyal, beautiful, and most of all compassionate. You never give up, and most of all, you always see the best in humanity. I will never regret a day that I have spent in your company, because you make people better by just being near them. I would love to be your husband Markus Manfred as long as you would love to be my own," Percy whispered this time.

Markus smiled as rested his hand against his lovers cheek. "With all my heart, I will be your husband. For now until whatever is in our future. I love you," Markus said and leaned into to give Percy another kiss.

"God, I wonder what we're going to do about our vows," Percy joked. As Markus laughed, he decided he needed to distract Percy from talking anymore.

They broke in their new house on the first night as Fiancé and Fiancé.
