Most Christmas' don't have Percy in the freezing cold far from the city with a bottle of whiskey in one hand.
Juggling both bottles, Percy raised a hand and knocked on the door in front of him. The home itself was spacious and seemed to be a bit much for one man, but Percy didn't actually know how many androids lived with Kamski so he couldn't be sure if the space was too much or not.
An android opened the door, she had long blonde hair in a low ponytail that draped over her left shoulder, she had blue eyes and pale skin. Her face was lightly decorated with navy eyeshadow and pink lip gloss. She was wearing a dark blue dress that reached to her knees but seemed to not have shoes on.
"Hello, is Elijah home? Tell him Percy is here if you don't mind," Percy replied slightly hesitantly, suddenly aware he was totally just crashing into his friends house.
While Elijah had mentioned where he lived after dropping the finished RK500 off, Percy didn't actually know if Elijah mentioning his address meant he could drop by for something that didn't have to do with Lucas or not.
The female android's LED spun yellow for a few seconds before she stepped away from the door. "Right this way, Elijah has been notified of your presence and will soon be able to greet you. Please wait here for a moment," the android said as she lead Percy to a type of waiting room that held a large painting of Elijah along with another picture of him and, if Percy remembered right, his mentor.
"Thank you," Percy said quickly before he forgot his manners.
The blonde just indicated her head toward Percy before stepping back into the room that if Percy had to guess was where Elijah was.
Percy sank into one of the chairs, feeling the wariness that had been affecting him since his mother told him earlier that morning that her plane had landed.
When he inquired about what she was talking about, she realized she knew she forgot to mention something. That something turned out to be the fact that her, Paul, and Estella were spending the holidays in Los Angeles because of one of her new books series.
Meaning that Daniel was stuck with him and Lucas. Which was not ideal holiday he was expecting. So, instead of wallowing at home with two androids that seemed to be hating each other but at a silent rivalry, Percy told Daniel to enter rest mode until his return, while Lucas was tasked with making sure he didn't have any calls until the afternoon of the 25th.
After that, he booked it to the closest alcohol shop and bought himself a whiskey and made his way to Elijah, figuring the recluse man would be spending the Hols alone.
"Percy, not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" Elijah asked, there was a tint of worry in his voice.
After dropping off Lucas, Percy knew that Elijah half-expected him to drop their friendship, but Percy was loyal and truth-be-told he enjoyed Elijah's company.
"How about I tell you over a glass of Whiskey?" Percy inquired instead as he showed the two bottles to Elijah.
He saw his friend narrow his eyes at the alcohol, before looking into Percy's eyes like he was searching for something.
"When was the last time you slept?" he inquired instead as he grabbed his friends sleeve and then pulled him deeper into Elijah's house until they were in a type of living room. A flat-screen was hooked onto the wall and a three person couch sat in front of it with two lover couches facing the TV as well.
"Let's just say, teaching Lucas how to file paperwork was not what I was expecting. In any case, he finally got the hang of it. But that's not why I'm here. Honestly, I just want to get drunk and to just rant with a friend," Percy said awkwardly, wondering if he overstepped some sort of boundary.
