Part XVII

Tom was finally awake but there was a weight preventing him to move. Opening his eyes, he saw you close to him. He had his arms around you. His lips formed into smile. Caressing your cheek, Tom couldn't believe that he have you in his arms. You look so peaceful and beautiful. His thumb brushed against your eyelashes to your cheek and into your lips. Oh how badly he wanted to touches your lips with his lips. He wondered what it feels like to have your lips against his. How perfectly it will fit. He didn't noticed how close he was to you, then he can feel your nose touching his nose, just a little bit and your lips will collide. But that's not how he sees your first kiss, he stopped and rest his head back to the pillow.

"No, not yet." He thought.

Not that long, you flattered your eyes open. First thing you saw was Tom's eyes gazing at you. He looks so breath taking. His brown orbs sparkled like the stars in the sky. His thin lips was so inviting. Once again, you found yourself attracted to him. Like there was a force pulling you closer to him.

"Good evening." Tom greeted with his raspy voice.

"Good evening." You respond, looking away from his lips.

"You looked so peaceful, so I didn't bother to wake you up." He said tucking the strand of hair behind your ear.

Then you realize that, you two were so close and you were using one of Tom's arm as a pillow. Your eyes widen and when you were about to move, he locked you in his arms.

"Please, stay." You heard Tom said those words "I'm still tired." He added as his scent filled your nostril "let's stay like this for a bit longer."

"Bu-but..." you tried to reason out but Tom hushes you.

"Just few more minutes. This feel so comfortable." He said closing his eyes again.

Truth be told, he was right. It was comfortable that you fall asleep again. Tom, never went back to sleep. He was just sobering the moment.

"Tom? [Y/N]?" It was Harrison, knocking on the door before he entered "Well, look what we have here." He was grinning when he saw Tom embracing your sleeping figure.

"Don't be loud, [Y/N] is sleeping." Tom shushed him.

"I'm sorry mate but you two needs to get up and eat." He said walking to your bed.

"Come on, Haz. Just few more minutes." Tom pleaded.

"It is almost time for your medicine. So, I can't." Then Harrison, gently tap you in the arm "[Y/N], wake up. Dinner is ready and Tom needs to drink his medicine." He whispered. But you just groaned "[Y/N], wake up."

"Look, Haz, she is sleeping. How about we just let her be." Tom said.

"Fine, but you have to get up." Harrison answered.

"How about you two shut up and I'll get up." You said sitting up, running your hand through your hair.

"Alright, she is up. So I'll meet you two in the dining area." Harrison happily said before leaving.

"[Y/N], if you're still sleepy just go back to slee..."

"No. No, I'm fine. I've slept enough. Besides we need to get some food in your stomach before you take your medicine." You said stand up "or do you want me to bring your food here? Can you walk?"

A smile formed in his lips, seeing how cancer you were "I can walk. Let's go." He said standing up.

You three, enjoyed the dinner and Tom took his medicine then you and Harrison washed the dishes.

"So, nothing is going on but you were sleeping soundly in Tom's arms." Harrison teased, bumping you in the arm.

"Yes, nothing is going on." You firmly respond.

"You know, I'm Tom's best friend and I can tell that he likes you. He likes you a lot!" He said emphasizing last sentence.

"Whatever, Haz."

"You know, you should ditch that Bill and date Tom." He said casually.

"What?! Look Haz, it doesn't mean you think Tom likes me I will just leave Bill like that. If you know me, I need evidence, a proof of what you are saying. Besides, Bill is a great guy. I like him." You respond.

"But! You don't love him." Harrison stated, "You are the type of girl who will choose love."

"I.." you were left with no words.

"[Y/N], if you just open your eyes you'll see the proof you are looking for." Harrison added.

"But Haz, you know that you have to be straight forward to me if you like me. If Tom really likes me then he should have some balls and tell it to my face." You were starting to get frustrated with this Tom liking you and not hearing anything from him.

"And if he does?" He routed, not giving up.

Looking away, you don't really know the answer, so you simply answered him "Let's just see."
