In Another's Eyes

Prologue

James Barnes and Carter Baker have known each other since preschool and later in life they became law partners and started their own firm in their hometown of Savannah Georgia after law school called Barnes & Baker Law. During their freshmen year of college they met their wives Winnie Jones and Melanie Taylor who were college room mates. Carter had English with Melanie and had asked her on a date but she said she would go if he had a date for her room mate and he told her that he knew someone. From that first date the four of them were together. 

During their first year of law school they got married and soon after had their first babies. Winnie and James had a girl that they named Rebecca Jane and Melanie and Carter had a boy that they named Oliver Logan. A year later they had their second babies Winnie and James had a boy that they named Liam Jackson and Melanie and Carter had a girl that they named Brittany Nicole. 

A year later by complete accident they were pregnant again. After summer vacation in Cabo and both were due on the same day March 10th. Winnie and James were expecting another boy and Melanie and Carter were expecting another girl. On March 10th at 1130 PM Winnie welcoming into the world James Buchanan Barnes and at 12:01AM on March 11th Caroline Bristol Baker came into the world. 

At the time Carter and James were in their last year of law school and they were all living in one house to save money so they were splitting bills. They weren't expecting to get pregnant for the third time till after they moved back home so Bucky and Caroline had to share a crib and a lot of nights they would find them laying close to each other or Bucky would be holding Caroline like their were twins. 

As they got older they continued to be close sharing ice cream cones cheese crackers pudding cups popsicles. They would also end up sharing the flu and cold germs and chicken pox. Even when they hit the age of girls have cooties and boys are gross they remained close no matter how many times they were made fun of for playing together so they would hide under the slide at recess and play. 

Caroline wanted to do what ever Bucky was doing so she played t ball and little league and basketball and during football cause her mom told her she was to little to play she did cheerleading. They hated when puberty happened cause that's when their parents told them that they were to old for sleepovers and that their bodies were changing and they couldn't share beds anymore. 

By the time middle school was over they were constantly flirting around. Bucky would kiss her cheek or her forehead and would put his arms around her waist. By their freshmen year of high school they had people constantly guessing if they were actually together or if they weren't.
