In Another's Eyes

A Talent Show

Oliver convinced Caroline and Liam to do the talent show with him cause he wanted them to perform "Shallow" like they did during the trip and to sing "Always Remember Us This Way. So they were in the basement practicing at Liam's house cause it had more acoustics to it. She got her keyboard sat up along with her mic and they started to practice the song. 

Brittany and Rebecca took her shopping to help her piece together an outfit for the talent show and started to get ideas from Pinterest for her hair and makeup.  They practiced for two weeks in the basement then the day of the show they did a rehearsal in the school auditorium about two hours before the show. 

She had her blonde hair curled that her sister curled for her and Rebecca did her make up. She had on the outfit that they put together for her. Brody sat down next to Bucky and said "What talent does Caroline have that I don't know about." .

"You are about to find out." he said 

The music teacher said "Welcome family and friends to this year's Winter Talent Show. I'm Mrs Janice Thomas the music teacher and I have to say that I'm beyond thrilled for some of the talent we have going on tonight. So let's open the show up with 3 performers Caroline Baker Oliver Baker and Liam Barnes. They will be performing two songs." 

Everyone started to clap and the lights went down and the curtains opened as Oliver began to play. The lights hit the stage and Oliver began to sang the Bradley Cooper part. Caroline walked out and stood behind the keyboard and began to sing as she closed her eyes. She started to play as she sang and then she hit the note and every mouth dropped open and Brody said "Holy Hell." 

Bucky smiled and whispered the words. 

Once that song was over Oliver moved his sister and her keyboard to the middle of the stage and she began to sing the next song and play as she kept her eyes closed. Bucky recognized the song cause he remembered it was the song she was singing when she told him she needed space. She took her mic off the stand and walked away from the keyboard and her sister took over for her. She sang her heart out and she had everyone on their feet and the girls singing along. 

Once their part was over Brody came up to her and said "Baby I had no idea you could do that." 

"Yeah.. well it's something we normally keep at home but Oliver wanted to do it." she said 

"You okay?' he said 

"Yeah.. um Brody I'll be back okay." she said 

She found Bucky talking to Liam and she said "You came." 

"Of course." he said in a low tone. 

"Buck why did you break up with Laney.." she whispered 

"Because... I um I had to. It felt wrong trying to love her." he whispered as he looked down. 

She lifted his chin and she said "Buck you are crying." 

"Because you are breaking my heart." he said 

"What? How?' she said 

"By staying with him.. I couldn't love Laney cause I don't know what happened on our trip.. all I know is that when we got back I wasn't ready to let you go and then you pushed me away." he said

She looked down and then Brody came up behind her and said "Isn't my girl amazing Barnes." 

"Yeah she's quite the girl Brody." he said as he wiped tears and walked away. 

"Brody..we need to talk." she said 

"Okay.." he said 

She had him met her at the ice cream parlor. She sat down with her rocky road ice cream and said "Brody I have to be honest with you and I know you will probably hate me but I can't keep this locked away anymore." 

"Okay." he said 

She looked down and said "I cheated on you.." 

"Excuse me?' he said 

"Um..I um I slept with Bucky during our trip . We have never had that problem before but then again our parents had been taking us on family vacations in a long time so we have never had to fight temptation between the two of us before. But it was suppose to be one time but then we couldn't stop..and um I'm sorry but this is over." she said 

"Caroline I trusted you how could betray my trust like that." he said 

"I'm sorry Brody.." she said 

"You are right this is over I should of believed Kaylee." Brody walked out.  

She started to cry and threw her ice cream away and went home. She found Bucky playing video games with LIam and Oliver. Bucky seen her and seen tears then he said "I'll be back guys." 

They went upstairs to him and he hugged her. "You told him the truth." he whispered 

"I did and he said that he should of believed Kaylee." she said 

"Shh darlin it's alright.." he whispered 

"Buck there's something else I need to tell you." she whispered 

"What's that." he whispered 

"um I'm late. And I haven't slept with Brody since we been before we left for the trip cause I was on my period." she whispered 

"But you said.." he whispered 

"I got my shot before we left and I wasn't even thinking clearly in Aspen." she whispered 

"okay um.. we will go to the store." he whispered and they left in his truck. 

Then they came back from the store and she peed on the stick he rested his forehead against hers in the bathroom and he whispered "I love you Caroline..I fell in love with my best friend without even trying." 

She smiled and whispered "I love you too." 

The two minutes were up and she flipped it over and swallowed hard. "We um we are pregnant" she whispered. 

He swallowed hard and said "We have to tell our parents Caroline." 

"I know." she said then he kissed her and whispered "I love you gorgeous." 

"I love you too baby." she whispered then they left his room.
