The Accidental Kiss

A few days later the guys went out to the ski slopes while the girls stayed behind. Caroline was down in the theatre room with her blanket watching a movie while she texted Brody. Bucky took a hot shower then came into the living room. "Hey mom have you seen Caroline?' he said 

"I believe she went down to the theatre room." Winnie said 

"okay." he said 

He went to the theatre room and he laid beside her. "Hey I'm cold" as he got under blanket. 

"Did you have fun?' she said 

"I did it was easy to pick up." he said as they faced each other. 

She smiled and said "You are always so athletic." 

"So are you. I"m sure you could do it." he said as he played with her hair. 

She laid her head against his and said "I missed you. I was bored without you here." 

"I told you to come with me." he said 

"I know but I don't want to ski. I would like to not make a trip to the ER during vacation." she said 

"I wouldn't let you get hurt you know that. I always protect you." he said 

"I know you do." she said as he scooted closer to her. 

"We should probably sit up before we get caught." he said 

"But I miss this." she said 

"I know I do too.. but we will be in trouble." he said 

She felt her phone vibrate underneath her side and she went move to get it and they accidentally touch lips. "I'm sorry. I." she whispered 

"It's fine.. we were laying close together but um.." he said as he looked at her.

He placed his hand on her cheek and he whispered "We can't do this.." 

"We can't .. " she whispered as their mouths were getting closer. 

His phone started to vibrate and he swallowed hard and he looked to see Laney was calling him. "Um I'm gonna go cause Laney is calling." he said 

"Oh.. right okay." she said 

He got up and answered the phone as he walked out. That night when everyone else was downstairs playing pool Caroline was alone in the hot tub. Bucky looked around the room waiting for her to come in the room. He texted her cause he was in the middle of a game Oliver and Liam and his dad. 

She saw the text and ignored it. She just needed to be alone with her thoughts. "Hey Carter take over for me." Bucky said 

"Yeah sure. You gonna go find Caroline?' Carter said

"Yeah.." he said 

He looked in the theatre room the gym and their room. He went into the bathroom to see her clothes and he whispered "Pool room' and he changed into his trunks. He walked into the pool room and saw her in the hot tub. He got in beside her and lifted her chin. "You are mad at me." he said

""No.. I I'm mad at myself. I did it and I feel like such an idiot for feeling hurt when you left me alone." she said 

"Caroline you are not an idiot." he said 

"Yes I am. I have a boyfriend I shouldn't of gotten my feelings hurt. " she said 

He lifted her chin and wiped the tear. "Caroline" he whispered as he pulled her chin to him and "Don't be upset we accidentally kissed it's no big deal. We both had a moment of weakness but we fought it off." 

"I know." she said as she looked into his eyes. 

"I know you love Brody so be upset. I think that's why you are more upset at yourself cause you feel like you betrayed Brody. It was barely a kiss baby doll okay." he said 

"Okay." she said 

He hugged her and said 'It's alright." 

They stayed in the hot tub a little longer and then headed to bed.
