Back To Reality

After the two weeks were up they were on a plane headed back to Georgia. When they landed  Bucky leaned in her ear and whispered "Remember baby what happened back there can't happen here it's back to reality." 

"Yeah." she said as she got into her dad's car. 

A few days later they were back at school and Brody came up to her and said "Hey beautiful..I've missed you." 

"I missed you too." she said 

"Everything okay." he said

"Yeah...I just um still adjusting to being back home on normal time and I'm pretty tired." she said 

"You ready to go to class." he said

"Yeah." she said 

Meanwhile down the other freshmen hallway Bucky snuck up behind Laney and said "Guess who." 

"Hmm that voice does sound familiar. Could it be my super cute boyfriend." she said as she felt his hands. 

She turned around and kissed him and he moaned and said "I missed you darlin." 

"I missed you too." she said 

"Did you have a good Christmas?' he said 

"I did..how was your trip?' she said

"It was fun.. lots of family time pretty boring." he said as he put his arm around her waist and walked to class with her. 

At lunch Caroline was picking at her food Brody left early cause he had a dentist appointment and she had to endure Bucky being the perfect boyfriend to Laney like he didn't just cheat on her for two weeks with her. She looked down and Bucky looked over at her as she played with her food. 

"Caroline." he said as he sat down beside her. 

"Oh hey.." she said as she looked at him then looked down. 

"What's the matter? Where's Brody?' he said 

"He had to leave early.. he had a dentist appointment." she said without looking at him. 

"You can't even look at me right now what's the matter?' he said 

"Nothing.. I"m fine um I just need to go." she said as she picked up her tray and went to hide in the library the rest of the day. 

After school she went to cheer practice and when Bucky tried to talk to her again she walked away. She was in the basement playing on the piano the song "Always Remember Us This Way" as she sang. Carter and Melanie were in the kitchen when Bucky came in and he said "Never mind I know where to find her." as he went into her basement. 

He sat down beside her and then she stopped playing. "Caroline.. what's the matter?' he said 

"Buck.. how could you today? How could act like you didn't do anything wrong for two weeks. It took all I had to not tell Brody" she whispered 

"Caroline.. " he looked down 

"I need some space Buck..I need some time to get my head on straight and to remember that I love my boyfriend or atleast I thought did now my emotions are all a mess and I don't know what I feel right now." she said 

"Caroline darlin I'm sorry I.. this is my fault I iniitated everything and I'm sorry. " he whispered 

"So um I just need some time Bucky okay so go do what you need to do and leave me alone for a little while." she said 

"Caroline don't do that." he said 

"I have to Buck." she said 

He looked down and whispered "Fine.." and he left. 

She wiped tears and started to play the piano again and Melanie watched as Bucky walked out of the front door with tears and he slammed the door. Carter looked at Melanie and said "What the hell.." 

"I don't know." she said as she took a sip of her wine. 

The next day Bucky seen her come down the hallway with her ripped jeans and under armour hoodie with her blonde hair in a messy bun and glasses. He looked down and slammed his locker and went to find Laney. When he slammed his locker it made her jump and she looked down when she saw him walk away.
