On September 15th Caroline was sitting on the bleachers watching Bucky's football game with his parents. It was homecoming night she saw her friends walk court she was nominated to be a rep but the school understood that she couldn't walk out. The announcer said "We have one other junior representative and that's Caroline Bristol Baker she is unable to walk court."
She let out a breathe. Winnie said "Caroline you alright."
"yeah.." she said and whispered "Aspen baby wait till daddy is done please."
Winnie grabbed her hand and said "We will time them baby."
She moaned in pain and she said "Winnie this hurts" as she squeezed her hand.
"Shh..James go get James." Winnie said
James went running into the locker room and said "Sorry coach I need James Barnes."
Bucky swallowed hard and said 'dad."
"Caroline is in labor. We need to go."
"oh okay.." Bucky said and he changed quickly and helped put Caroline into his truck and they all sped to the hospital. They got out of the truck and she swallowed hard and looked down.
"What baby? What's wrong?' he said
"My water...oh god ow oh god it broke." she yelled and doubled over in pain.
Winnie came over and she got one side and Bucky on the other side and took her straight upstairs and got her in a room. Dr Carlton came in and said "Five days early that's good."
Dr Carlton checked her cervix and said "Oh yea we have fully broken water sac and we are at a 6 and half dilation we are definitely having us a baby tonight Ms Caroline."
"Can I please get an epidural." she said
'Yes ma'am I'll get that ordered." Dr Carlton said as she left.
After twenty minutes of waiting she got her epidural and she went to sleep. Around three in the morning Dr Carlton came in after the nurse checked her and saw that she was fully dilated. "Alright Caroline it's time to push."
Everybody got into position and she pushed then she rested a minute. "I've got you baby I'm right here just like I always have been." he whispered to her. She pushed again and Bucky said 'That's it baby you are doing so good.."
"Alright Caroline we are almost there. We can see her head give us another push." Dr Carlton came in.
Caroline pushed again and then she pushed one more time then she heard Aspen cry for the first time. She smiled and said "Oh gosh she's perfect." as they laid her on her chest.
"Let's try to get her to latch honey" Winnie said and she helped Caroline. And she started to suckle right away. Bucky kissed Caroline and said "You baby I swear I couldn't love you anymore if I tried."
She smiled and said "I love you our baby girl is here."
He smiled and "She's perfect."
The next morning once it was a decent hour the family and friends came in to see her. Bucky holding her and talking to her while Caroline eating the breakfast the hospital gave her. "Oh hey everybody." Caroline said
"We would like to welcome to the family Aspen Winter Barnes born at 330 in the morning she is 5lbs and 7oz and already the biggest daddy's girl." Caroline said once she realized Bucky wasn't saying anything.
James smiled and said "James Buchanan let the family see her."
"Oh hi.." Bucky said as he looked up.
The family visited with them for awhile and loved on the baby. Once they got home Bucky and Caroline were adjusting to it all on their own as they had moved into the guest house of his parents' house after the baby shower.

Oliver and Rebecca came in their first weekend home and saw their niece and loved on her. Caroline's siblings would come over when they could and Liam loved spending time with his niece.
Two weeks after they had Aspen Bucky pulled Caroline outside and with the baby monitor and turned on the lights on their porch. He turned on some music and the first song that played was "Marvin Gaye" By Charlie Puth and they started to dance on their porch. James and Winnie heard the music and they looked outside and saw them.
"You raised him to be like you James." Winnie said
"I raised both of my boys to be like this and I raised Rebecca to find a boy that will treat her like how I treat her mama. She will have a husband that is not like her dad that's what worries me about Oliver." James said as he hugged his wife and they watched them dance for hours.
