Telling Their Significant Others

The next day at school Brody came up to her locker and kissed her. "Morning beautiful." Brody said

"Hey you." she said with a smile. 

"What was your family meeting about? You never told me last night." he said 

"Oh..um they are planning a big family vacation for Christmas break." she said 

"So when you say big family vacation you mean Barnes' family too." Brody said

"Yeah..um Brody I have to share a room with Bucky. Are you okay with that? Cause if your not I can tell my parents to change the sleeping arrangements and I can share with my sister or his sister." she said 

"I trust you both darlin. I trust Barnes' with my girl." he said 

"That's good to know." Bucky said as he slapped his shoulder. 

"Hey man you ready for the game tonight." Brody said

"Oh heck yeah. They won't know what hit them tonight." Bucky said 

"Got that right." Brody and Bucky both walked off together talking about the game. 

Caroline let out a breathe. 

Kaylee came up to her and said "Hey Bucky told me about the trip and I told him I was fine with it. But I have you know that I don't have the same feelings as your boyfriend but I have to respect your friendship with my boyfriend. So I hope that I can give you the benefit of the doubt that you won't try anything stupid." 

"Yeah Kaylee." she said as she walked away with tears in her eyes. Kaylee and her haven't gotten along in the year that she's been with Bucky. She does her best to keep it between the two of them and not get Bucky involved cause that's who he's chosen to date. Bucky seen her and ran after her. "Caroline.." he said 

"Hey.." She said 

"Why are you upset?' he said 

"It's nothing don't worry about it." she said 

"Caroline Bristol don't you dare lie to me." he said 

She wiped tears and said "Kaylee doesn't like the idea of us sharing. So it might be best if I tell our.." he cut her off.

"Darlin..what did she say?' he said 

"She doesn't trust us together in a bedroom. She lied to you. But She's going to give me the benefit of the doubt that I won't do something stupid." she said 

He hugged her and kissed the top of her head. 

"I have to go to class Buck.' she said as she pulled away. 

Brody took her hand and they walked to class together. Bucky went to find Kaylee "Hey baby doll." he said

"Oh hey." she said 

"We need to talk." he said as he pulled her from her friends.

"Okay." she said 

"The next time you get Caroline's face and try start shit will be the last time we will be together. I have never given you reason to not trust me with her and I don't appreciate you implying it either." he said

She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "Okay." she said 

"And I expect you to apologize to her. She's in a relationship she loves Brody and it's disrespectful to not only ours but hers too when you try and imply that me and her have something going on. I was being a good boyfriend no different than she was being a good girlfriend to Brody by coming to you all and telling you about the trip and even offering up changing sleeping arrangements if you all didn't feel comfortable. Now you have some damn respect Kaylee Ann and respect my friendship with her." he said 

Kaylee wiped tears. "Okay..I'm sorry I .. I just I love you Bucky and sometimes I feel like I'm in 2nd place.' she said 

"Kaylee I love you doll baby but she's my best friend has been since the day we were born. Nobody understands our friendship nobody ever has. But I need you to respect it if you want to be with me." he said as he wiped her tears. 

Natasha said "Buck." as she stood behind him and he turned to see everyone staring and watched the fight including Caroline who had Brody standing behind her. 

Kaylee walked over and said "I'm sorry Caroline..and I'm sorry Brody." 

"Kaylee I trust Bucky with my girl. I may not understand their bond but I would never be so disrespectful to your relationship like you were to mine and Caroline's. Caroline and I have been together for a year just like you two we love each other." Brody said 

Sam said "okay everyone go back to your lives." as he shooed everyone away. 

Brody said "Come on darlin let's go to class." as he put his arm around her waist and they walked to Economics. 

Kaylee walked back to Bucky and went hug him. "I need some time to cool off." he said as he walked away. Bucky got to Economics class and sat down beside Caroline and she looked at him and said "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything." 

"No.. don't you dare be sorry to me. You didn't do anything wrong." he said as he hugged her.
