The Surprise (BG pov)

Daisy fell asleep in my arms again. She is adorable when she sleeps. I am going to plan her a special surprise for tomorrow night. I am inviting Willie Nelson over to my house and going to cook all her favorites. But first I need to call Willie. I slowly grabbed Daisy's phone to call him.

"Hello" -Brantley

"Hello, who is this? Why so you have my granddaughters phone?"-Willie

"It is Brantley Gilbert, I was wondering if you wanted to come over tomorrow and hear a song I have been writing honoring you" I say not wanting him to know about us yet.

"Oh hey, son I would love to come over and take a listen, but why do you have Daisy's phone?"-Willie

"Oh, well we have working on a song together and I asked to use it while she went to the restroom. I'll text you the address, can you came tomorrow night? You can bring your wife."-Brantley

"Yeah that sounds great, I'm looking forward to it"-Willie

"Me too, it was nice talking to you, Bye bye."-Brantley

Ok now that that's taken care of I need to pick up a bouquet of daisies. I wrote a note for Daisy telling her I was out getting something for dinner. I went to the store and got salad mix and daisy scented candles and bouquets of daisies. I think I got everything for tomorrow. I also got stuff to make steaks for tomorrow. I picked up a pizza on the way home.

When I got back Daisy was on the couch watching TV. I walked up behind her and kissed her head. She looked up and smiled and then grabbed the pizza box and said " So what are you eating?"

I said, " I got pizza"

She gave me a look like I was crazy and said "Nope this is mine"

I said "No, I don't think so" and I started tickling her.

We shared the pizza and I took her home to get clothes. She grabbed some pajamas and clothes. We went back to my house. We fell asleep soon after.

I woke up the next morning with Daisy sitting up next to me. I leaned over and kissed her. She said "Good morning" I looked at the clock and realized that they would be here in a hour.

"Why don't you go drop your motorcycle off at your house and get your truck?"

She said ok.

Once she left I set everything up and there was a knock on the door. I opened it; there was Daisy with a huge smile on her face and her Granddaddy and Grandmamma.

"Hey y'all come on in" I said.

Daisy came to my side and said "Granddaddy, I would like to introduce you to my boyfriend"

A smile went across Willie's face and he said, "That's why you had her phone."

I walked them into the kitchen and Daisy smiled at all the Daisies and candles and said, " How did you know I liked daisies?"

I laughed and said, " I just took a guess"

We had a wonderful night they stayed a couple of hours and then left.

"That was so sweet of you" whispered to me as we waved goodbye to her grandparents.

"The night isn't over yet" I said, I walked her into the living room, where there were daisy petals everywhere. I had the daisy scented candles lit. There was bowls of fruit in the center of the room on the coffee table which was surrounded by pillows. I led her over and I sat down and then pulled her into my lap. That's when I ask her "" Marguerite Daisy Nelson will you be my girlfriend?"

She pulled me into a big kiss that turned to making out. When she finally pulls away I asked, "So is that a no?"

She kisses me again and I laugh and say, "oh that's a yes!!"

She sits in my lap for the next four hours. We just sit there eating and talking.
