Emmett looked at her from afar.

He had been thinking why she had been pushing him away, why the nights they used to have was never the same, and why she put herself to void just so she wouldn't be bothered in there. But Emmett has too many questions, he seem quite lost as well.

His head tilted when he heard muffled cries on her room, thanks for his heightened senses that is. A few minutes later, she came out of the balcony and let the chill breeze brush her face, her hair, her tears.

Why is she crying?

He was itching to have her warmth again, he had been surrounded with cold ever since. Well he is cold, and he seem to think that she could be that cure of his dreading years as he passes. But it had also had him thinking, is it better to unleash his stress with other girls or is it better to finally settle for one?

Oh shit.

His eyes widened, realizing something. He remembered that day, in which he had heard a car bolting as it left the premises of his home, he remembered that day when the woman under her arm giggled after receiving the kiss she said she craved for. He remembered that day because,

Because he was able to smell her scent, yet he decided to leave it be.

He cursed under his breath and acted quickly, he was about to dash and use his ability to run and climb up the balcony. He had been doing it, but then his musles tensed. He looked at her helplessly, his body stiff as he watched his every move.

He watched another man enter the balcony, wrapped his arms around her, and cradled her on his chest. Her head was just buried on his neck as she cried her eyes out,

Emmett could have done something, anything. He could just push that man away and snatched her to his car, maybe drive off to somewhere. Maybe they could just be left alone as they order pizza, but how can he do that?

When the Alpha of a pack is the one cradling her about?
