I would never wish pain upon anyone. However, we do all go through it. Whether it be physical, mental, spiritual, or emotional, we all feel and have felt pain. Certain pain never ends. It's painful to die. It's painful to see someone die. It's painful to have a loved one die.
Pain is a necessity, though. Without it, we wouldn't learn. We wouldn't feel love because we wouldn't know what true love is. We wouldn't know happiness. If there was no pain in life, we'd all be void and simply not human.
I wish I could tell you that all this pain was worth it. Maybe you can be the judge of that when you finish this poetic memoir. You may cry, but I'm not trying to make you cry. I'm trying to make you feel emotions that maybe you have never felt before. Maybe you have felt exactly as I have, and maybe you will relate to a lot of my poems. I hope you do, but I also hope you take something from this book that you never would have without reading it.
I need you all to understand how vulnerable and how deep I will be getting, but it is all for a reason. It is all to show you, to show anyone who needs to hear or read it, that life is WORTH it. I was done with life. I was dead. And then, I was not. I was found, I was given a hope and a future. I was given a second chance. I don't want you to ever have to get that second chance because no one deserves to go through what I put myself through. I didn't deserve a second chance, but I got it and since then life has been a thousand times brighter. So, by reading this, please, please, please realize that life is worth it and though it may be bad now, it will not always be! There is a plan for you. Your life has meaning! Your life has hope! I promise you that!
Pain Reconciled by Love is full of much heartache, but also much beauty. I'm still alive because there is something for me out there. I hope this is the beginning to something beautiful. For you, and for me.
