Life: A Painful Memory

(Written in Summer 2018).

I feel as if life is close to its end.

And that no one sees how I bend,

Too damn far, enough to break.

So much now is at stake.

My life could have been closer to joy,

The world has become my decoy.

I am now void of feelings,

Please recall my demons.

Life is such a painful memory.

It has become a treachery,

Of everyone who said they care,

But no one can ever dare.

To cherish a baby is something.

Not even you could think to sing,

A few words to let them sleep.

You're their parent, so don't creep.

Suffering could just be avoided,

If everyone loved, not pointed,

Fingers at all those who cry,

So, don't say you did try.

For you're just as guilty as the next.

It's just plain written in the text,

Of that book many men call truth,

But whatever happened to youth?

If we're all damned to Hell, then fuck it.

I'll live how I please, no bucket,

To kick; you'll wish you lived full,

But no, you'd rather it pull.

All those that you love will surely fade.

Don't ever think all is paid.

Forget it all now or else,

You'll never know what helps.
