12: facade

After 6 months

Riya had came back to india. Rajveer was trying to fix Arjun and Riya marriage but Arjun asked for some time. He was devastated to know that Rajveer trapped him and family for his financial gain just like Mukta. When Arjun's man Rajesh told him about Raj plan , he became furious. Till now he thought that whatever Rajveer had done but he was in love with Rashmi. But it was only facade, a mask of love, reality was altogether different.

Now Arjun decided to save everything which Rajveer greed could destroy. He talked with his lawyers but Raj didn't left any loophole in his plan. It was impossible for Arjun to challenge them in court. He had to marry with Rajveer's sister if he wanted to save his position and business. He vowed that he never let Raj to win in his motives.

Mukta had adjusted in her new life. She was truly happy with her new friends. Now she started to gain her self confidence. Now she didn't need Arjun's help in every small things. She wanted to be self dependent, finally oneday she gathered her all courage and she called to Arjun,
" Mr. Verma... i want to do a job..."

Arjun took some moment to sync her words as he was busy in his work.
" ok but you are not qualified enough to do some well earned job..."

Mukta: " i can do some data entry works and other odd jobs..."

Arjun became serious on her eagerness of work,
" do you have any problem if i take care of you..."

Mukta became reluctant on his words,
"But now i don't want your favours anymore... i decided to shift in a hostel and for that i will do part time jobs."

Arjun was thrilled to feel the newfound boldness and firmness in her attitude.
" so now miss Mukta will show her attitude to me... "

Mukta started to stuttering, she replied in meek tone,
"No.... Mr verma... i am just feeling guilty now... i don't want to bother you anymore... i just want to pay you back for your humanity and i will be obliged to do that..."

Arjun who was stressed due to his problem , got alerted on something...
" ok.. listen Mukta... i will talk to you later..."

He dropped the call in hurry while she left just staring towards the phone.

In past six months, it was the first time when she spoke with him. She couldn't be comfortable with him till now. Still she felt anxious around him although he helped her in every small things but they couldn't come to close each other. She felt more confident and comfortable with her friends and Rohan.

Rajveer was waiting for Arjun decision over marriage. He was sure that Arjun couldn't deny. He was talking with Riya,
" what do you think, Riyu.... how far Arjun could go to spoil our game..."

Riya smiled wickedly,
"Bhai... until when you have Rashmi, he couldn't go anywhere..."

Raj looked her and replied,
" i don't want to make her our pawn but if Arjun will try to get out from our deal .. then..."

" then????"

They both turned towards the source of the familiar voice,
Rashmi entered with furious eyes and asked in screaming tone,
" then what ? Raj what will you do? "

Rajveer was shocked to see her while Riya was just shaking her head,
" Rashmi bhabhi... look its not..."

Rashmi gave her a tight slap on her face,
" just shut your mouth and let me talk to my husband.."

Rajveer became angry when she slapped her,
" Rashmi... how dare you to slap my sister..."

Rashmi jerked him forcibly and shouted,
" how dare you to play with my family..."

Rajveer became shocked to see her reaction, she was extremely different like volcano,

Rashmi gave him a bloodshot look,
" Raj how many times, i felt that you are not genuine but every time i ignored, i thought i am stupid but i warned you that never do anything wrong..."

Raj turned his face to other side, he didn't expect that, his game was changed in second,

Rashmi pulled his arms and made him to face her,
" now why are you turning your face? You can't get rid like this... i will be the one..."

Rajveer instantly looked her,
"You cannot leave me...."

Rashmi chuckled on his word,
" i am leaving you... right now... you can pack your bags and get lost from my life..."

Rajveer jerked his head in denial,
"So you don't need me? I will take everything from you..."

Rashmi turned and slapped him,
" you think you can do anything and i will not speak...Rashmi verma is strong enough to face you... i have my family... i dont need your things and listen never show me your face..."

She left him shocked and stormed out from the room.

Riya tried to pacify him when he stopped her and replied,
" Don't worry... she will be back...."

It was look like he assured himself more than her.
