20: resistance

Rajveer was devastated, he was looking broken with eye bags and dirty clothes. He was so lonely and deserted. He was walking on the road aimlessly. Suddenly a lorry hit him and he fell with thud on the road lifeless...

"No.... Rajveer....." Rashmi got up with jerk. It was worst nightmare. She was sweating profusely. She wiped her face and looked around.

"Oh god.... what is happening with me? I want to destroy the man but i couldn't see anything happened to him even in my dream..." she held her head and sob.

Rashmi got up from the bed and walked to Window. She saw through the darkness. The darkness was relatively connect with her. Her life was also full of darkness.

She was 16 years old when her father got killed by pooja in accident. Rohan was 10 and Nitya was only 8 that time. If it was not pramila aunty took care of them then what happened with them.

Pramila and Arjun looked after like their family. She always dreamt to destroy the person who was the reason of their plight. She and Arjun decided to search about Pooja and her family. Until they could reach to pooja... she was already dead. After that they came to know about Rajveer and his sister Riya.

Rashmi decided to trap him in love. Arjun warned her about the consequences but she made him agree with her plan. Rajveer was greedy for success and business. Rashmi took the advantage of his this habit. He thought he trapped the family but he didn't think even his dream that his wife Rashmi was the mole in his life. She gave each and every information to Arjun of his move.

But in these two years, she became habitual to her illusion life. She knew that one day everything will be lost but she wanted to live in the bubble. She started to think her life with Rajveer for some reasons. He was good with her but till when she didn't know the real person behind his mask of love.

She sighed on the chain of her thoughts. Pramila saw the lights on of out house. She came there and found Rashmi awake. She knew that it was so hard for her to move on.

She asked,
" what happened? You are still awake..."

Rashmi looked to her direction and asked,
" why it is so hard to forget your painful memoirs?"

Pramila smiled and replied,
"It depends which memories troubled you most and if you really want to forget that?"

Rashmi looked her and replied,
" you are saying like i don't want to forget things?"

Pramila smiled and said,
" you can forget things but you can't forget people. If you agree or not... you can't forget Rajveer like you couldn't forget about your father death. You entered in Rajveer life due to your father and now you cannot make him vanished even how much you want.... you love him..."

Rashmi was astonished on her words,
" i cannot love that person ...."

Pramila turned to go with smile,
" you are too stubborn to admit it but its true... unless you will not be here post midnight awake..."

Rajveer woke up in his room next morning. He tried to recollect the incident of last night. His head was heavy and he felt severe pain.

Riya gave him a glass of lime water and medicine.
" bhai... please take this... it will lessen your headache..."

Raj looked her and asked,
"How did i came here...i was on the road last i remember..."

Riya smiled sadly,
" i took you here... i was searching you in midnight when i found you asleep near your car on the road fully drunk..."

Rajveer held his head,
" they tricked us... both the siblings trapped us in our game just because of that girl..."

Riya sighed on his words,
" bhai.. you still think that she was the reason... no.... Mukta was used in their game like us..."

Rajveer looked her with confusion,
" what do you want to say.... tell me properly..."

Riya stood up from her place and give him a notebook
" it was your dad.... i am sorry Mukta's father Mr Singh's notes for Mukta... when i left you in the party... instead of going to main door , i lost in the mansion. For some peace i went in a room which was i think Mr Singh room where i found these..."

Flashback

Riya left the party with tears and unknowingly went inside the house from party venue. She wanted to get out but before that she decided to confront Arjun for once after the party. She entered in room so that none could hear her sobs. It was all dark and dusty looking like the store room but it was the bedroom. Soon she got to knew that the room belongs to Mr suraj singh.... according to her mother pooja... the man was her so called father who thrown pooja out when she was pregnant with Riya.

She was curious to know about him so she started to looking into his belongings. Everything was left as if none touched those from so long time. She opened the drawers and found a bundle of papers. Some papers was official or some garbage. Suddenly she found a notebook and curiously she opened that. She read some pages and was shocked.

It was his personal notebook about his life after pooja left him. She took that with her and put the papers back in drawers. She left the room and went to see Rajveer but he was not there. She searched him everywhere and finally found him on the road few miles away from the mansion.

Flashback end

Rajveer was not in mood to read any thing so Riya said him,
" bhai first you have to freshen up... after that you can do anything but please read it once.... "

Rajveer looked her,
" you already read it.... don't you.."

Riya turned her gaze towards floor,
" yeah and after that i am feeling ashamed, our mother was not saint like she looked... she was the reason of our misery... due to her we have to face the humiliation... she turned us in wrecker of our life. It is in our fate... we cannot find peace and harmony..."

Rajveer was shocked to hear her outburst,
" just shut up Riya... you are talking about our mother..."

Riya nodded her head,
" yeah i am talking about her... its because of her, your wife left you and i got trapped in sham marriage... we have to make things right... we will beg for the forgiveness from them... may be you can find your peace..."

Rajveer was aloof in whole situation around him. What was she saying....

Mukta wake up in her room after a long time. She felt the fragrance of surroundings when Arjun who was watching her from the nearby couch smirked,
"Good morning my queen..."

Mukta was jumped on his voice all of sudden. She looked to him and frowned,
" what are you doing in my room?"

Arjun got up and came near to her,
" i thought to see you... and afterall you are my wife now... i don't need anyone permission to see you..." he lightly touched her face.

Mukta flinched on his touch,
" please... i beg you... leave me alone... you got what you want... now what?"

Arjun looked her face for few minutes and replied,
" now i want to be happy..... and you have to give me happiness...."

Mukta shivered on his unexpected words. What he meant by happiness...
