15: blackmail

Rajveer called his mother in law,
"Good morning maa...."

Pramila flinched on hearing his voice. She was utterly disappointed and shocked on his evilness but she composed herself,
" yes Rajveer.... tell me what do you want to say..."

Rajveer chuckled on her strict tone,
" maa.... you know everything... i am sure being a mother, you are very wise.
You will never want that your children suffer for nothing...... Arjun and Rashmi are stubborn. What i have done? Nothing with them........... I want to live with Rashmi.... but for that she has to forget everything.... what if i got married with her for my business... many people does that.... i am a businessman and she should understand that. And last but not least, if Arjun will not marry with my sister then be prepare to loose his position and power. I will snatch everything..."

Pramila was listening his all blabber silently but at last she became furious,
" Don't dare you Raj..."

Rajveer chuckled once again and mocked her,
" you know maa... you should read all the papers carefully before sign those.... now everything in my hand... i can dare ..... and yes in some moments, some papers will come to your doorstep..... just go through the documents with calm mind and then think about what i am saying... bye.... take care...."

He disconnected the call while pramila was confused on his words. She was feeling numb on rude and evil behaviour of soft spoken Raj. She couldn't believe if he was the same person who was madly in love with her daughter. This new Rajveer was only talking about his business. It seemed if relation and family didn't matter to him.

Suddenly doorbell rang and after some moment a servant came with some papers. She took that and hurriedly read all the documents.

She was shocked to see the power of attorney papers signed by her. Another contract stated that Arjun had to married with Raj's sister. She became paranoid to think about his deceiving act. But they couldn't do anything now. She wanted to save Rashmi marriage till now but there was no hope after that.

Raj was confident that his move. He was sure that he played his cards on right time.

Riya was perplexed on the other side. She was afraid. Arjun could tell everything to Raj. She gathered all her courage and decided to talk to Raj before Arjun could tell him anything.

She came to Raj office,
"Bro... i want to talk to you... its important..."

Raj looked her and nodded, she thought for minute and sighed,
" bro... i did a mistake... a big blunder..."

Raj looked confused on her words,
" Riya... tell me clearly..."

Riya looked down and speak in almost whisper,
"Bhai i got married to Andrew and i am getting divorce...."

All the colours drained from Raj face. He couldn't able to speak a word for some time. He was just looking her shivering figure.

Riya saw his face and tried to read any emotion but he was blank.
"Tell me everything..." he replied in deadly calm voice.

Rashmi was frightened to see him but told him everything how she met Andrew and she got married in what circumstances. She had filed for divorce but Arjun knew already about that.

After told him everything, she looked in his eyes. Raj just uttered,
" go to your room... i will make everything right..."

Arjun was going through the papers if he could find any way to come out from Raj trap. When his phone started to ring, he put that without seeing the caller id,
" Arjun... what is your decision... i will throw a party on this Sunday... we will announce the world either your engagement with my sister or your decision to leave everything.... be on time..." Raj told him in very cool tone and without listening anything dropped the call.

Arjun looked towards his mother and sister Rashmi. They were looking equally tensed. He had to do something in just 3 days. He groaned in frustration. His cellphone again started to ring. This time he saw it was Mukta,

"Yes... Mukta..."

Mukta became scared listening his strained tone ,
" Mr Verma, i talked to you about job and shifting to hostel that day... what is your answer?"

Arjun looked to his maa and Rashmi,
" Mukta... not now... don't start that again..."

"But Mr Verma... i cannot live like that on your mercy... you have done enough for me... now its my turn if i can return your favour..."

Arjun who was looking the papers in his hand listened her words and nodded,
" ok... we will talk about this when i will meet you..."

He cut the call and sighed. His mind stuck on Raj condition. Suddenly he looked to his maa and said,
" maa... Rashmi... we will go to Raj's party... i cannot let go anything from us."

Rashmi was shocked,
" Arjun are you okay... Raj has compelled to us... you will not trap in his web of lies."

Arjun smiled and replied,
" we will go but before that i will find the way to break his web."
