I sat on my bed, leaning against the wall with my shoulder and staring at my legs. 'Move!' I pressed my jaws together, feeling like this wasn't real. Maybe because of the shock, but maybe because Black Seven gave me a shot that calmed me down.
My head felt so heavy and the voices I heard from the big hall didn't help. 'This needs to stop.' I put my hands on the bed, wanting to get myself a water and curious about what was going on out there.
"Let's see." I looked around, searching for something that could help me stand up and get the hell back to walking!
"That should work." My hands on the bedside table, I straightened my arms and pulled myself up, looking at my legs which didn't move an inch. "Why ain't ya movin'?" My eyes became wet again and I started sobbing. "Why?"
Suddenly, the door opened and I was so surprised, I fell back down on the bed. "Damn it, Blacky, ya can't jus--" I looked up but it wasn't Black Seven who stood in front of me.
"Pamela?" I wiped my tears away. "What a' hell are you doin' here?" I sat up and she immediately hugged me. "I'm so glad to see you alive, Harley."
I hugged her back and started sobbing, my anger at her faded into nothing and I was just happy she was here.
"How tah hell didcha find me?" My voice was thin and a little shaking while I tried to control my emotions. "I have no idea." She giggled and sat down on the bed as well, still with her right arm around me. "But that's also not important. I just. Missed you. And I'm so sorry for what happened to you."
"It's alright." I said but my eyes got bigger as I noticed wounds on her shoulders and on her left knee. "Whadda hell happened ta ya?"
Pamela followed my look and rolled her eyes. "Black Seven. I thought he was the one who hurt you. But he is damn fast." She smiled to cheer me up and I grinned, rubbing my burning eyes. "I gotta ask 'im a' give ya some pain killers, okay?"
The second Red wanted to answer, somebody knocked on the door and I called the person in. "Y'all 'kay so far?" Black Seven asked with blood all over his face and a shot in his right hand. "Yeah. But what's up with your face? Is Eddie okay?"
"What? The Riddler is here, too?" I happily squeal but Black Seven quickly told Pam to hold still before immediately giving her a shot in her upper left arm. "He's fine but he's unnerving. Pamela, I need you out there, I need to talk to you and the green guy."
♦♦
'What the hell is he doing? He should be out and get the last robin, not in here, grinding about this nonsense.'
'As if I got time for this. I have plans. I have a actual future. He doesn't. Granted, he's helping a whole lot. Without him, I wouldn't have come this far.'
'The problem is that he's insane. So I can't manipulate him the way I manipulate others. But this isn't the only annoying thing about him. He starts to like Harley.'
