I couldn't sleep, not now that I knew I was going to meet Jackson Thorton. He had always been my favorite singer, and to say I was excited, was an extreme understatement.
"Will you lay still? Some of us need to sleep." Moaned Wesley.
"Im sorry! I'm just to excited, I can't lay still."
"You're such a fan girl." he joked.
I rolled over and tried to rest, a thousand thoughts whizzing through my mind. I laid there until night met day and my thoughts slowly drifted into the dark Oblivion of sleep.
I woke the next morning to a startling emptiness, in my bed, that is. Wesley wasn't there so I rolled out of bed to find him. When I walked through the bus I couldn't find him, only Landon and Seth who were giggling suspiciously.
"What did you do." I said curiously.
"Ohh nothinggg." Seth sang.
I gave a suspicious look and rolled my eyes.
"Where's Wesley?" I asked
"Umm not at the store, nope defiantly not at the store." Seth answered.
"Seth!" Landon shouted, elbowing Him in the stomach, "You're the worst liar in the world." Seth just shrugged and walked to the fridge.
"Why is he at the store, and why is it a secret?" I demanded.
"Umm..didn't you hear Seth, he's not at the store, I don't know what you're talking about." Landon said waltzing away.
Okay, something fishy was going on here. Why was Wesley at the store, and what was he buying he didn't want me to know about?
"Well, he better be back soon, we've got a party to get to!" I yelled.
"Party?" said Carter, emerging from the bathroom.
"Oh yes, we're going to Jackson Thorton's house." answered Landon.
"OMG Jackson Thorton! I love him!" Seth said in a mocking girl voice, and Landon pretended to faint. I rolled my eyes again,
"Very funny." I said.
I was in the bathroom getting ready when I heard Wesley open the bus door. I started to open the door but I saw the boys in a group huddle around Wesley and I decided to spy. I cracked the door and tried to get a glimpse of what they were staring at but I couldn't see. I opened the door and the group huddle dispersed.
"Hello love" Wes said kissing my forehead. All the boys smiled at each other, and I looked at each of them skeptically.
"You almost ready?" he asked. I nodded and grabbed my purse. The boys were being extremely odd, but I had other things to worry about. I was about to meet my favorite artist of all time.
We pulled up to the house and there were cars all over the lawn. People were crowded around everywhere you looked, making me grasp Wesley's hand tight so I wouldn't be lost in the crowd. We walked through the door and we were instantly hit with the blaring sound of the stereo. People danced everywhere with their red solo cups waving in the air. We walked for a few moments until Wesley stopped and turned to me. He tried to say something, but the music was so loud he had to lean down and tell into my ear.
"You okay?" he questioned, and I nodded. "Not for long." he smirked.
Wesley's hand reached up and tapped a tall man on the shoulder. The man turned around and my jaw instantly hit the floor. There he was, in real life. I was breathing the same air as Jackson Thorton and my inner fan girl was making itself visible. I instantly shook his hand and couldn't seem to let it go. Wes hand to pry my hand from his as I stood there, mouth hanging open still, unable to speak.
"She's quite a big fan of yours." Wesley explained.
"Um yeah, I noticed." he laughed "it's very nice to meet you."
"Anna?" Wesley's waved his hand in front of my face. "Ann, let's go get something to drink, hmm?" Wes thanked Jackson and took my hand pulling me away. I stumbled away, still frozen, and speechless. We met up with Landon in the kitchen.
"What's up with her?" He asked. "you didn't do it did you?"
"Landon!" Wesley yelled.
"Oh crap, um sorry." Landon apologized.
I was too dazed to hear any of their conversation.
"Um Wes, you might wanna take her home, she's had a little too much excitement for today." Landon suggested.
"No!" I suddenly shot out of my daze. "I don't wanna leave, I wanna dance!" I took Wesley's hand and pulled him to the dance floor. We danced around for a while when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"How about a photo?" Jackson asked.
I quickly agreed and Wes snapped a photo of us.
"Thanks again for coming, I'll see ya."
I waved goodbye and when he was out of sight I squealed and danced around happily. Wesley shook his head and laughed.
"Looks like I've got competition."
"Nah, you'll always be my number one!" I giggled.
"Funny you should say that." Seth said appearing behind me. Wesley shot him an dirty look. Seth threw his hands up and disappeared back into the crowd.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Wes suggested and I agreed, I was tired after getting so little sleep last night.
On the ride back to the bus I laid my head down. The day's events buzzed through my head. It was strange, I had just met my idol, yet that wasn't the thing that filled my mind. I couldn't stop thinking of the boy's behavior today, what was up. As I slowly drifted off I thought of what Landon said back at the party. I hadn't really noticed it then, but now it itched at my brain.
"You didn't do it did you?"
Were his words. What was it, and why was it so important to keep it a secret from me?
