I decided to stay the night at Landon's, since it was his last night at home. We finished our movie and played some board games. My favorite part was when I beat him in scrabble and he'd pout and demand a rematch. In the middle of our scrabble wars landon got a text from Carter saying Wesley was taking an early flight to Chicago.

"Why would he do that?" Landon pondered.

"Great, I've spent my time avoiding him, but now when I decide to try and fix things, he leaves town." I sighed.

"Maybe something came up, you never know"

Landon said rubbing circles on my back.

"I guess so." I mumbled.

"Well as much as I would like to kick your butt in scrabble, we've gotta get to sleep, I've got an early flight tomorrow." Landon yawned.

At seven the next morning I woke up to a Landon hovering over my face.

"Wakkkkkeeee uppppppp! It's time to go to the airport!" He sang.

"Wh-why do I have to wake up?" I protested, rubbing my tired eyes.

"Well who else is gonna drive me?" he laughed. I dragged my self out of the guest bed and walked to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and slipped on my sweatpants, I had to borrow a shirt from Landon, but he didn't mind.

Still half asleep I walked into the kitchen to find Landon sitting on the counter top.

"I made some coffee, drink up, I've got an interview in Chicago to get to." he cheered. He was too happy for seven in the morning. I grabbed the coffee mug and walked outside to my car. I sat inside sipping the warm liquid as I watched Landon in the rearview mirror, loading his suitcase into my trunk.

"Come on Landon, you're gonna miss the flight!" I called.

"I'm coming, I'm coming" he skipped to the passenger side and hopped in.

We drove to the airport, with Landon in the passenger side turning up the radio and singing along. I however, was still asleep, and couldn't understand how he could have so much energy so early. We pulled into the airport and we saw Seth and Carter waiting at the entrance.

"You ready losers?" Seth teased.

"No, I really hate flying." said Carter shyly. I helped Landon unload his things and walked inside with them. when we reached the check in Landon turned to me.

"Now you be good, little sister" he said with a serious face

"And hey, don't worry about Wes, things will work out, I promise" I smiled back and hugged him. I hugged Carter and Seth, and said goodbye as they walked through the security check.

"Make sure and text me when you get there, so I know your safe!" I called, and Landon nodded.

Now I've gotta go home and get some more rest before my five o'clock shift at the library. I drove home sluggishly, still tired from being woken up at seven. I crawled into my bed when I got home, and slept until ten.

When I woke up I checked my phone to see I had a message from Landon.

9:04

We made it safe, have a good day at work! xo

I smiled and pulled myself out of bed.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen where I overheard something on the tv in the living room.

"The band 'four:one' will be with us this afternoon, and we hear that drummer, Wesley Ashworth, has a special surprise for us." I rolled my eyes. 'what crazy rumor is the media making up today' I thought.

I didn't have anything to do today so I thought I'd go into work early and get some more reading done. I got ready for work and headed off. On the way to work I turned on the radio and another voice said,

"Don't miss four:one's live interview, the bands drummer says it's something you don't wanna miss."

What was up? what was Wesley planning that was so special, and was that why he left early?

When I walked in the doors miss Frieda, the little lady who owns the library, looked surprised.

"Annabeth, you're early!"

"Yes ma'am, I didn't have anything to do at home" I shrugged. She just smiled and left me to it.

About thirty minutes later she came running out of the break room,

"Anna come quick!" she yelled "that curly haired boy is on tv, and he's talking about YOU!" she shuffled back into the break room and pointed at the tv, I followed her and watched the tv also.

"See!" she yelled, "That's the boy who was here yesterday looking for you!"

I watched the screen intently. this must have been the interview everyone was talking about. It was the four boys in a radio station.

"Now, Wesley, we hear you've got something special for us?" The interviewer asked.

"Yeah, going on tour put a strain on my relationships with people. And recently this tour made me loose someone very special to me. So in hopes of getting her back, well..i wrote her a song. I hope she's listening. Anna I love you." he answered. I put my Hand over my gaping mouth as Landon began to strum and Wesley began to sing:

I wanna go back to the place that's only ours. I wanna hold you in my arms again I wanna forget the distance.

as long as you've got my heart, you've got me, but I don't have you.

How can you say 3000 miles is too far, when my heart's still at home with you?

And how can I go on knowing I don't have yours to fill the gap.

Why don't you just say yes, why don't we just fix this mess. You know home is right here in my arms. Cause I love you now, like I did before, maybe even a little more, but there's nothing I can say, cause you are miles away.

You know I can't sleep without you,

I need you to keep me warm.

I can't even listen to the songs you used to sing, cause it reminds me of your face.

I don't know how, but we need to get back to that place.

How can you say 3000 miles is to far, when my hearts still at home with you?

Why don't you just say yes, why don't we just fix this mess. You know home is right here in my arms. Cause I love you now, like I did before, maybe even a little more, but there's nothing I can say, cause you are miles away.

He finished the song and tears were brimming my eyes, as well as his.

"Who is that?" Questioned miss Frieda.

"That, is the boy I'm gonna marry" I smiled.
