"You're doing it again." Wesley laughs

"What?" I shout. I can't hear him over the sound of my headphones blaring. Wesley reaches over and pulls them off my ears.

"That face, you're doing it again." he teased.

"What face?" I asked.

"That face you get when you listen to music, you just sorta let it flow through you, and you get the cutest look on your face." he explained, Kissing the end of my nose.

"I do NOT!" I protested.

"Yes you do, it looks like this.." he made a overly exaggerated silly face. I playfully slapped his arm.

After Wesley was released from the hospital we decided to stay in this weekend and just relax. I just wanted to spend time alone with him. After almost loosing him it made me realize just how special our time is together.

"Listen to this one!" I said excitedly as I pushed my headphones in his direction.

"Is this ...oh what's his name..."

"Jackson Thornton!!" I answered "he's my favorite."

"I thought I was your favorite musician" Wes pouted.

"Oh I'm sorry Mr. Ashworth, you most certainly are." I corrected.

These were my favorite kind of days. staying home in bed listening to music together.

"You know Anna, I never got to take you on a proper first date." he said wrapping his arms around me.

"Well, I could stay here in your arms forever." I said looking up at him.

"Yeah, but I'm going to take you out tonight. I want you to be ready by 7." He smirked. "Oh and don't worry about picking out the perfect outfit, I already thought about it." He gestured his head towards a bag by my door. My mouth dropped open and I looked to the direction of his finger.
"I'll be going now." He said redrawing himself from the bed. "see you at 7." He waved as he went out the door.

I ran to the bag he had pointed out and opened it. inside was a floral romper. Pink and blue flowers covered it, and It was laced with white daisies. There were also a pair of white ballerina flats, decorated with white flowers to match the romper. Under these was a note.

Where I'm taking you, you won't need headphones, but you will need your music face.

Xoxo- Wes

What? where was he taking me? A first date with Wesley, the possibilities were endless. I looked at the clock 5:45. Shoot,I better get ready. I thought.

I hopped in the shower and then slipped into the romper. It was cozy, yet very flattering. I decided to curl my hair, and add a flower crown to match. I did some light makeup but didn't over do it.

It was hard when I didn't know where we were going, but it was also very exhilarating. It felt like an adventure into oblivion.

It was seven exactly when I heard the door bell ring. I checked the mirror one last time and took a deep breath before opening the door. I had seen Wesley everyday of my whole life so I didn't know why I was nervous.

I opened the door and Wesley was there looking quite dashing. he had on a light blue polo, and pink shorts. That dork, he color coordinated our outfits.

But his confident smile was the favorite thing he wore. It brought out the dimples in his cheeks.

"Wow. Mom was right, that outfit Does look darling on you." he giggled. I blushed, looking down at the ground. He grabbed my hand. "Well, you ready for your surprise?" and he led my to the car and opened my door for me.

"What a gentleman you are!" I teased.

He drove and he kept looking over at me smiling, obviously amused by my constant complaining.

"Ugh traffic" I sighed. "Wonder what's going on"

He didn't respond.

"Wes, why don't we go the other way and ovoid all the traffic?" I suggested.

He smiled bigger "Because we're going to the same place they are."

When we pulled into our destination I read the billboard and started hitting Wesley from excitement.

"YOU GOT US JACKSON THORTON TICKETS!!" I screamed. "I LOVE YOU"

"Well if you don't stop hitting me, we're never going to make it inside" he smiled. He grabbed my hand and we walked toward the arena. The usher took our tickets and started leading us to our seats. He lead us closer, and closer to the stage.

"Wes....how close did you get us?" I whispered.

"Oh, only front row." he said smugly.

I basically ran to our seats, but couldn't sit still.

"You're the best, you know that?" I smiled

"I know" he laughed putting his arm around me.

We waited for what seemed like years for the show to start, and when it did Wesley wasn't watching it, he was watching me. I leaned on the bar in front of me, and Wesley stood behind me with his arms around my waist as we danced and swayed to the music.

When the show ended Wes suggested we go for a drive and I happily agreed. We drove up to a place called 'gazing mountain' our families had often taken us there for picnics and such during the summer. We parked at the edge and Wes led me to the front of the car and helped me onto the hood. He took his place next to me. The night was slightly chilly so we huddled close together. Despite the chill, the sky was so clear you could see every star. We laid on the hood and didn't say a word. Wes reached for my hand and held it. I laid my head on his chest, still admiring the twinkling lights from above.

"So, how's that for a first date?" he asked

I looked up and into his eyes. I pulled his lips to mine and he held my face. I pulled away and smiled. I laid my head back on his chest and listened to the thump of his heart.

"Best one yet." I whispered.
