After many excruciating months of planning, it was about to all pay off, because today was the day. Today I marry my bestfriend. Today I start my new life, a whole new chapter. I woke up this morning ready to puke. I had never been this scared in my whole life, yet at the same time I had never been so excited. The morning before, me and my bridesmaids rented out a cabin to have my bachelorette party, which I would tell you about, but honestly, I don't remember it. The cabin was large so we decided to just get ready for the wedding there and ride to the square.
The boys rented the cabin next door, and by the sound of it, Wes's bachelor party was nothing shirt of a good time.
I woke up this morning with a throbbing headache, probably caused from the night before. I rolled over and picked up my phone, I smiled when I saw the date, suddenly remembering where I was. I got a text from Wesley and I rubbed my eyes and tried to read it.
"I know the groom isn't suppose to see the bride, but I can't stand it. Open your window."
I went to the window and pulled open the blinds, the sun burning my unadjusted eyes. Wesley was waving at me from an upstairs window of the cabin next door. I saw him mouth 'I love you' and he held up a sign.
"Can't wait to marry you, I got ya something"
Got me something? Where was it? I gave him a confused and he pointed down at the ground. Landon was standing there with coffee in his hand. He climbed up the balcony steps and sat it on the window. He smiled and me and climbed back down. I looked back at Wesley, he smiled, blew a kiss, and closed the blinds. I opened the window and retrieved the coffee, he knew me too well.
It was eight o'clock and the wedding started at one, so we had to start getting ready. I had called in a hairdresser from town to come do all of our hair and makeup. As I sat in the chair and got my hair done I felt a familiar knot in my stomach, and me knees began to shake. It reminded me
of when Wesley and I went to prom, I was nervous then too, as I got my hair done. I was nervous for him to see me, just as I was today. Only this time, I wouldn't be walking down my stairs, but down the aisle. As I sat there and picked at my nails I couldn't help but wonder if Wesley was half as nervous as I was.(Wesley's POV)
Ever since I had woken up this morning there was a sour feeling in my stomach, I brushed it off as having had eaten something bad last night but I knew what it really was, I was terrified. I've performed in front of thousands of people, but never felt like this. I just wanted everything to be completely perfect, which I knew they would be. Yet I couldn't seem to shake this feeling. I stood up and looked in the mirror, as if contemplating my whole life. I don't know what it was, it just didn't seem real. How was I about to marry Anna? My bestfriend? How did I get so lucky? It seems that just yesterday we were nine years old playing in our backyard, now here I am, on our wedding day.
The door swung open and Landon burst in.
"Whooooooo's ready to get married!!" he cheered, but I couldn't stop staring. His cheery mood disappeared when he saw my worried expression.
"Ahh come on man, it's gonna be perfect, you know it will." He said, rubbing my shoulders like they do before a boxing match.
"I know, I know. Im just, in awe I guess" I lowered my head, breaking the staring contest I was having with the mirror.
"Hey, don't worry, it's Anna! The absolute love of your life! Get excited man!" he shouted.
"Yeah, she is pretty amazing." I smirked.
"I know you love her man, I can see it in the way you look at her. I've never seen you look at anyone like that before. It's gonna be great."
"Your right, come on, we need to get into these monkey suits." We laughed and went to get ready.
