When Romano showed his interest in Desiree, I knew well this was going to work frabjously. She was made for us. The way she captivated us and turmoiled our mind, it showed the inducement she had on our life.

But it was very much required for us to do a background check on her. You never know, what if that pretty face is just a mask to hide something implacable.

I asked my assistant to get information on her. I wanted to know everything before we claimed her.

By the end of the day, the information I got was not what I expected.

Parents. - None
Orphanage. - Angle Star Orphanage
Age. - 20
Best friends. - Ryan (from the same orphanage)
Work. - Florist
Residence. - Brooklyn Heights, Boerum Hill & Dumbo.

She was an orphan too, just like us. What didn't settled well with me is that she is much younger than us? But that not going stopping us from claiming her. We will do anything in our power to add her to our life.
I shared the information with Romano that I have gathered from my source. He too was shocked by the information about her being an orphan. But just like me, he didn't consider the age to be an obstacle in our relationship.

The locality where she lived was dangerous. But that not going stopping us from claiming her.

Romano asked me to get someone trustworthy who can watch over her when she is alone. And he specified it that the person should be a female. We both cannot tolerate Any men near her already that Ryan boy I was pissing me off. So we agreed on someone to follow her every day from her work to her house and from her house to her work.
Soon everything will change we will bring her to our mansion where she can live with all the luxury we have here. We will give her the life she deserved.

We came knowing that her house rent is pending and the landlady has given her notice of 10 days or she will kick her out of the house.
So I asked one of my men to pay off the rent and ask the landlady to keep the identity unrevealed or her house will be burnt into ashes.

Desiree POV

Skin crawling sensation, that's what I was feeling. From the past few days, I have this awkward feeling that there was someone out there watching my every movement. It gave me goosebumps all over my body. Something was wrong, definitely wrong.

Something really bad was going happening. My instincts were continuously warning me.
It felt just like a shadow, which you can see but you can't touch. Someone was there following me like a shadow.
Who was constantly behind me but I couldn't see who it was actually.
Weird things were happening with me. As if I suddenly got a godfather who was looking after me.
My rent was pending for 3 months because being a florist doesn't give you enough money. And my landlady has given me notice and was threatening me to kick out of the apartment. So when I returned my apartment yesterday night my landlady came and informed me that my due rent was paid by someone on my behalf. I was really happy that at least I still have the shelter but what irked me that who could be that person who was generous enough to pay my rent.

I have no one in my life who was rich enough to do that. And when I have said in my life, I meant Ryan and Amy.
It is scary to have an unknown savior because you don't know their ulterior motive.

Unlike my personal life which was continuously triggering my fear, things in our shop were going great.

Our store got a contract from a company where they buy 70% offer flowers every day. That lead to a huge profit for us because we got a permanent customer. It increased our income and lessened the chance of loss which we suffered.

I wanted to divert my mind from this irking feeling because it was affecting my health. I couldn't sleep at night because of that.
I hope this turns out to be just my illusion and nothing more.
I wanted to know who was trying to be my Knight in shining armor because it was creeping but I had no clue from where should I start.
I hope everything stays well. I don't want any new problem in my life. I already have sufficient problems on my plate to clear up.
