I heard you were supposed to do this disclaimer thingy. So I don't own Stuart Gibbs or the Spy School series. With that being said enjoy the story;)

Time still unknown
The cafeteriaErica's definition of 'business' is boring! I expected a brief introduction, what our mission was, and what part I had to play in it. Instead, I had to sit through an everlasting lecture on why I can't tell anyone about her, Levi, and Ben.
" Our identities are secret. No one can know about us. The only people that have authorization to know about us is the CIA and a few other higher ups." She went on like that for 30 minutes.
But it felt like 30 years! Ben had already fallen asleep in his chair. His head was resting on the top of it. Levi was starting to fall asleep as well. He was leaning against the wall. His head was slumped forward with his mouth wide open. He wasn't snoring though. So Erica didn't notice it... yet.
I couldn't blame them. I was starting to nod off too. My eyelids were getting droopy and my mind was starting to drift into dreamland. I slumped forward in my chair. I guess Erica just now noticed all of this. Because the next thing she did was yell loud enough to wake up all of us.
" Telling anyone about our true identities is a violation in our protoc-LEVI, BEN, AND JACIE! WAKE UP!" She yelled. All three of us were so startled, we all reacted in crazy ways. Ben yelped and fell off of his chair. He landed with a loud ' thud!' on the ground. Levi jumped off of the wall, got his foot stuck in Ben's chair while in midair, and toppled over the chair landing on top of Ben. I jumped too. Only I didn't land on top of them. Instead, my chair tilted backwards and I fell onto the cold ground of the cafeteria. Erica groaned and rolled her eyes.
" Really?! I'm trying to give you a lecture about something important and instead of paying attention, you start nodding off?" She asked annoyed. Her eyes were staring into mine. They were so cold and emotionless. It felt like she was piercing my soul by just looking at me. I shivered for the third time that day.
" I tried to pay attention but-" I started, but Erica cut me off.
" But what? You didn't look like you were paying attention. This is serious. You need to know the importance of not telling anyone about us. Information as dire as this could end up in the wrong hands." She said as though I hadn't heard this already.
" I know how to keep a secret. You don't have to give me a lecture about anything. Just tell me about the mission and we'll be done here!" I yelled. I was already frustrated at her for knocking me out. Trying to lecture me on something that I already knew was not helping. I didn't have time for it!
Time.
I got up and grabbed my bag.
I frantically looked for my phone in it. I found it in the little pocket. I read the time. 5:05 pm! My mom was going to be here any minute. I had to get out before she got here. If she walked in and saw that I wasn't in the after care room, she would have a heart attack." Oh no. I have to go. Mom's gonna be here any second!" I said to Erica. Erica sighed. " Fine. We'll just follow you home. We can talk there." She said.
Follow me home! Was she crazy? Tying me to a chair and knocking me out was bad enough. Now she wanted to follow me home?
" How are you going to do that without being seen?" I asked. Erica thought about this for a moment. Then, she smirked.
" I have my ways." She said cockily. Something about her tone seemed suspicious to me. But I shrugged it off. I needed to get to mom. I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door.
" See you soon Levi and Ben!" I yelled before I rushed out the door. Ben and Levi were still on top of each other. As I closed the door I heard Erica say, " Come on you two. We have work to do."
