I'm pretty sure my mother broke a window with how loud she screamed.

As soon as I told her I felt like going to a show at the theater the next day, she called all the butlers to get my father and I in our fanciest suits, then Neru decided she'd join along with her parents. Whatever Kaito has waiting, it better be worth it.

"Isn't this exciting, dear!" Mother said as we all took our seats. "It's been years since we've seen a show here! It's just as wonderful as I remember it!"

"I would've much preferred a few rounds at my sisters club. They expanded the golf course just last week, you know." Neru's father was saying.

"We'll have plenty of time to play after the wedding, daddy!" Neru held my hand.

I fake smiled. Her parents were just as snobby as she was. I looked at the program to see what would be on stage tonight. It was a musical play about a doctor that falls in love with a corpse and does everything in his power to keep her beautiful and away from the people that wanted to take her from him. It sounded morbid, and frankly, really boring. I'm glad I downed all the coffee when no one was looking, or else I'd be asleep before this thing even started.

   "Huh...? Is that..."

I had looked at the names of the people performing tonight. My eyes went wide.

   "No fucking way...!"

As the lights dimmed and the director and owner of the theater stepped out on stage, there was a roar of applause. Staring at him, I realized he looked just like Kaito but with bright red hair.

"Welcome beautiful people!" He said with a big smile. "So happy you could all join us on this night! Our performers are more than excited to give you this amazing show tonight! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, The Necrophile's Bride!"

Everyone applauded as he left and the curtains opened to show a few women in beautiful white dresses, all sitting around in a limp position. In the middle of them all stood a young man dressed in a handsome outfit that made him look like a prince. But once the music began and I heard his voice, I knew I was staring at a king.

"Amazing, right?" Mother whispered to me. "That's the director's younger brother. He almost never shows his face or even goes in public, I hear! This must be a special occasion!"

"Yeah... I guess so..." I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

Kaito was on stage... no scarf... smiling as he sang his heart out and the women around him danced to his song with movement that made them look like puppets on strings...

   He did this... for me...

I'm sure I was ready to cry

I'm sure I was ready to cry... his voice was so... wondrous... like a soothing sound that could coax you off to sleep. Now all I can think of is laying in a bed with Kaito, him holding me close to my chest as he quietly sang.

When the song came to an end, I wanted to hear it again. It was all I thought about throughout the whole play, even during the other scenes with music. Kaito's voice was burned into my mind. I think I really did start crying at one point because mother handed me a tissue. Luckily for me, it was during the scene when the guy playing the doctor was giving a depressing, tear-jerking monologue over his bride being taken to be cremated, and finally accepting her death.

"Such a sad, romantic story..." I heard Neru say. "I know you'd conserve my body if I died~"

"Of course, love..." I lied. I'd definitely conserve Kaito though.

When the show ended, I was hesitant to leave. I wanted to see Kaito and tell him how amazing he was. As everyone got up to leave I found myself falling a little behind, tempted to run and find Kaito as fast as I could. Then a stagehand approached me and tapped my shoulder.

   "Len Kagamine?" She asked.

   "Yeah...?"

   "Follow me."

She took my hand and led me away toward the stage. I felt my heart race and started smiling—he planned all of this. The stagehand brought me backstage, where all the actors were congratulating each other on the performance, and took me to a line of dressing rooms, pushing one of the doors open.

   "I got him for you."

   "Thank you..."

Kaito sat on a small couch, in just dress pants and a white button up, cleaning face paint off his cheeks. I don't know what I was thinking, but as soon as the stagehand shut the door I ran to Kaito and hugged him tightly, pretty much tackling him against the couch.

"That was amazing!" I cried. "Kaito, you were so amazing! Your voice is beautiful! I loved it!"

   "Did you really...?" He smiled.

   "Yes really!"

I laughed and hugged him again, this time he wrapped his arms around me just as tight.

"I can't believe you did that... just for me... Kaito when I think about it I just... I don't even know what to say..." I didn't mean to get all emotional.

"I wanna make you happy in whatever way possible. Speaking of which..."

Kaito pointed toward the vanity where a box tied with a red ribbon sat.

"I'm not too sure if it's the right size, but I'm sure it's the one you were looking at." He said.

What was he talking about? I got up and went to the vanity, never taking my eyes off the box. I untied the pretty ribbon and took off the lid. My eyes went wide as they welled up with tears.

The simple pink dress from the store... the one I tried on once with my sister... I put a hand over my mouth as tears slipped down my cheeks.

"Do you like it?"

Suddenly I forgot everything. I forgot my family, I forgot Neru, I forgot the wedding...

It was only him....

I took Kaito by his shoulders and kissed him with passion. I felt his body trembling and I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck. When I pulled away he was staring at me, red faced and eyes wide. I brushed my fingers over his cheek and smiled as him as I continued to cry.

"I... I love you..."

"... what...?"

I laughed and kissed him again.

"I love you, Kaito!"
