to say the avengers were confused was an understatement.
"tony? are you gonna explain what exactly is going on?"
"don't know what you mean." tony says not taking his eyes off his stark phone.
"hi, i'm peter!" the avengers jumped out of their skin, hands on their hearts and you could even say that some (aka clint) screamed. "oh sorry! i didn't mean to um scare you. i'm a huge fan of all of you, like damn you are some of the best people on this planet and oh my god you're bruce banner! i love you're books so much, like the detail they go into on cell regeneration and-"
"okay kid stop there, i'm sure green bean here doesn't want his books reciting to him. okay so, this is peter, i've sort of... taken part custody of him, sharing him with his aunt, oh and he's spider-man."
"i dropped an aeroplane terminal on him! he's like fourteen! how could you bring a kid into a fight!" ahhhh steeb.
"i'm sixteen actually! and you didn't hurt me, i was completely fine." peter mumbled.
"you dropped- y'know what not the time." tony brought his hand to his head and sighed.
"dude he caught my metal arm! not even good ol captain america could do that... a kid held off my arm, i-"
"welcome to the team i guess."
"oh and if anyone hurts this kid i swear down you won't live to see the next day!" tony shouts and the avengers all look cautiously to one another. this kid must be something if tony was this protective over him.
