1. the robots
the avengers were doing perfectly fine. the mission was going great, definitely the best mission they've done. okay, so they were incredibly outnumbered and they didn't have a solid plan. they didn't know what they were facing until they turned up, shocked at the numerous robots in front of them.
they were in the midst of a huge fight, out down in mexico. granted they were robots (they had faced many robots before, i mean... ultron?) but they had never had to face this many before, never mind one's that didn't seem to be shot down easy (as they were made out of vibranium) i mean who is able to make robots out of a metal that can only be found in wakanda? it's impossible.
steve kept throwing his shield as hard as he could, only able to knock a few down. tony was only able to do slight damage to them with his repulses, cursing himself for not wearing his suit with his upgraded tech and weapons, shaming his choice for wearing his other mark 47 suit. wanda was the one who was doing the most damage to them, lifting them high in the air with her magic then slamming them down, she was getting the numbers down quick, but she was tiring fast too. thor was doing better than the others also, frying their circuits as he brought down lightening. but all in all, they were losing. there was just too many of them.
tony, steve, wanda, thor, sam, bucky. that's all there was of the team. fury had sent clint and natasha on a quick mission in slovakia, bruce didn't want to get hulk involved, afraid of doing too much damage. rhodey has been given a job from the government and just didn't feel up for the mission. they could now see why.
"steve you go in from the right, bucky, sam you guys go in from the left, wanda sneak round the back attack them from there, thor... just summon as much lightning as you can."
"and what are you gonna do?" tony heard steve's voice through the comms (which was slightly static due to where they were).
"i'm gonna go from the front, sort of like a diversion, fridays gonna help me"
i watch as they all get into their positions.
"avengers... assemble!" on steve's command they all charge. now doing slightly better than before but still not what were we need to be at.
"fri? please tell me there's a way you can hack these robots and shut them all down? this is exhausting."
"of course mister stark. however i will need time, since their database it complex and has a security lock. i estimate for it to take thirty to forty minutes. and i advise for you to take down as many as you can in the meantime, so there is less to hack into."
"yeah yeah yeah. just do it. and add more fire power to my resistors please hun." i hear my suit wrr up and take this as a sign. "thanks." i blast a robot coming towards me and send it backwards, at least i can do more damage now.
as i'm about to shoot at another, a web attaches to the robot and i see spider-man swing into action. i can picture his smirk. he waves at me, "hey mister stark! i hope it's okay that i join! i mean you guys seem to be-" he was cut off by a strong blast from the robot, which i soon shot back at, killing it. "as i was saying, you guys seem to be struggling a bit and i asked karen where you were, since i listened in to fury telling you about this mission and anyway she said you were here, so i thought i'd help you out and i swung most of the way. when she said you guys were in a forest, i didn't realise it would be this hard to find you since it's so big and-"
