The world is filled with people who, no matter what you do, no matter what you try, will simply not like you. But the world is also filled with those who will love you fiercely. The ones who love you are Your People. Don't waste your finite time and heart trying to convince the people who aren't your people that you have value. They will miss it completely. They won't buy what you are selling. Don't try to convince them to walk your path with you because you will only waste your time and your emotional good health. You are not for them and they are not for you. You are not their cup of tea and they are not yours. Politely wave them along and you move away as well. Seek to share your path with those who recognize and appreciate your gifts, who you are. Be who you are. You are not everyone's cup of tea and that is okay...

A day later, the entire family lost its happiness somewhere in the grief of having lost one of the closest members of their family on this very day- Smita Murthy. A lady who personified grace, serenity, joy and love. She spread happiness wherever she went; and this was the exact reason why the Kapoors grew fond of her in such a short period of time that they spent with her. Karan and Nia had never met her for they couldn't attend Advik's hasty wedding in Mumbai three years back but that didn't stop them from drowning in the grief of the current situation. Why? You must ask. Well, how could they ever be merry when the person they loved the most after their parents was herself lost in the hell of memory of the day when she lost her mother to death- Nandini.

Today was the date when Nandini was a living example of an alive corpse, for she never responds or talks or thinks, or eats, or drinks. She just sat at one corner and reminisced her mother, from their birthdays to all the festivals that were celebrated together, from all the happier times to the day of her death, from all the laughs that they had together to all the tears that they shed together; how helplessly she had screamed at them to save her mother but those merciless, heartless monsters just dragged her away from her dying mother; how she had begged at their feet to at least summon her brother so that he could save their mumma but they only pushed her out of her own abode. She'll never forgive them. Never.

The only person she didn't shut out at Smita's death anniversary was Abhimanyu, surprisingly not even Navya and it was not because Abhimanyu was her blood relation while Navya wasn't but simply because just like her even Abhimanyu was abandoned and deceived by his family and in the name of family he only had Nandini and Aditi with him who herself had come back into his life a few weeks ago. No matter how much he shows that he had accepted Aditi back in his life and let gone of his past, Nandini knew that his heart was still insecure and broken to trust with all his soul once again but he was trying, trying extremely hard just for Aditi and Nandini- his only family.

The rituals and rites had been done with all the proper order, attended by the entire family, Fab5, Vihaan and Taani. The poor had been fed by Nandini and Abhimanyu and also the ancestor feeding ceremony had been done away with by now but still the aura of the house remained serene and gloomy for none could find peace and to be honest, they didn't even expect everything to go back to normal today itself. None was going to pressurise Nandini and Abhimanyu into lifting up their spirits; they had all the rights to grieve and mourn in whatever manner they wished to.

Admist all this chaos, Advik and Aditi were the most affected ones and why wouldn't they be? After all their other halves weren't in a correct frame of mind. For Advik, this was nothing new, he had seen Nandini at her worst and he mentally prepares himself every year on the very same date to let Nandini be, however she wanted and whatever she wanted but his heart always skipped a beat or a two every time he saw Nandini all lost and irresponsive. He was forced to be afraid that what if he lost her only to never find her back; what if she gave in to her inner demons and harmed herself; what if she one again went into depression; these 'what ifs' were way too wild and uncontrollable. While Advik had seen his spouse at her worst, Aditi on the other hand, had witnessed not even a fraction of this entire madness; she could only imagine the amount of pain her Abhi must be bearing in his heart but imagination and reality never go hand in hand and if only they did then life would've been a cake walk. If only she had the slightest idea of Abhi's frame of mind, she'd go crazy, not even exaggerating.
