"The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you're not going to stay where you are."
~J.P Morgan

They say pain and pleasure are a part and parcel of life; without one you don't realise the value of other. How often have we really stopped by and counted our blessings? If you were to listen to your conscience, you'd apprehend that it is only when you find yourself in distress, you come to know how content you were in life, even though it didn't seem to you before. That's how life works; it balances your emotions by constantly tossing you between pain and gain.

That's what Manik and Advik were experiencing right at the moment. When one had everything he could ever ask for, without realising the significance of his blessings, the other longed for a life like his, even though they could've a life thousand times better than his; but now the tables had turned and it was the other way around. Advik had a life that Manik longs for, wishing he realised his pleasure before and cherished it to his heart's content.

If only time could be reversed and moments be relived, life would've been easier.

As Advik sat under the sacred canopy, performing the holy rituals to be done by the groom, he couldn't believe this moment was his reality; a dream he was actually living, everything he ever wanted and wished for. How fortunate he was. The priest told him to fold hands as he chanted some holy verses, Advik couldn't help himself but thinking about Nandini, his beautiful wife, a vision come true, and now she was going to become his in every sense. Advik could hear the priest's chanting and the guests marvelling at the beauty of the entire arrangement, the venue and the pavilion, but his senses could perceive nothing but Nandini; thoughts of how she'd be looking in her bridal attire enslaved his brain. It didn't mean anything to him that the guests were still at a loss of how everything could be real.

The wedding décor was set in hues of pinks and white, with the grace of golden and brown to complement. The canopy was shaped like a dome adorned with pink and white roses, pink curtains and an elegant golden chandelier, perfectly matching with the golden low seats for the bride, the groom and the priest on the pavilion underneath it. The whole stage was beautified with a magnificent decor on its sides and similar golden chairs in front of it, for the guests.
