Sorry I've been gone for so long, I've had a massively busy week with project, test, quizzes, and even more. I'm trying to write every weekend for y'all, but I apologize in advance if I skip a week here and there. Also if you have any suggestions on how the story should progress please let me know, I'm all about bringing entertainment here!

Courtney's POV
Excitement welled up inside me as the gang started to pile in. I felt so good being around all of them and it made me especially happy to see Y/N greet them as if she'd known them for 10 years.
As the night went on we all got to bantering about random stuff we'd come across and experienced. We tend to do with people we don't know very well, it is a good strategy to get them to open up. However, it was more enjoyable than usual. It was odd how fun it was, but I guess Y/N just won us over from the beginning. I mean she certainly won me over right from the get go. She's charming, sweet, hilarious, and of course beautiful. I honestly don't know why we didn't cross paths earlier on. She's been working with the Squad for a week, but she's been here for 7 months, it's amazing how much we miss until it's shoved in our faces.
"What about you Courtney?"
"Huh?"
"Weren't you listening? We were talking about our jobs before Smosh, so Y/N can get to know us better," Keith explained.
"Oh, right," I started, "I worked at a pharmacy, nothing that special, before that I worked wherever I could, I was a teenager so I never went far."
"That's awesome," Y/N said.
"It is?" I asked turning slightly red smiling.
She smiled widely, dimples popping out from the corners of her mouth, "Yeah, you got to help someone every day."
"And handle drugs that people could get addicted to easily," Shayne added chuckling.
"Yeah, I guess so, I still think it's a good job," she said.
"What about you Y/N?" Noah asked.
"Oh right, I didn't do much. Like Courtney I did what I could find. I worked at a library reading to kids, I worked at Pet Smart, an art gallery, boring stuff," she said.
"Awww, but you got to take care of animals all day," Olivia said.
"Yeah, but sometimes those animals weren't in the best way or with bad owners and your powerless a lot of the time," she looked at the floor. You could tell she cared deeply about those things, she was visibly hurt by it.

Timeskip
Courtney's POV
After a while we got to watching some movies. We all ended up squeezing together in my small 3 seater sofa. Y/N was on one end, with her hand holding her head up as she watched, eyes glistening as she watched. Of course I squeezed next to her, I felt motivated to, like I had something to prove. Shayne was on my left followed by Olivia, Noah, and then Keith.
By the end of the movie, Olivia, Keith and Noah has drifted into unconsciousness. I found myself leaned up against Y/N. She was inviting to the idea as her arm had found itself wrapped around my shoulder. Shayne of course was holding the weight of Olivia, Keith and Noah on his side, he looked pretty uncomfortable.
I regrettingly sat up and looked at Shayne.
"I'm going to call an Uber, it's 2:30 and these guys are knocked out," he said.
"Sounds good, you going too?"
"Yeah, I've got Goldbergs tomorrow afternoon so I should get some rest.
"Yeah,"
By 3 am Shayne, Olivia, Keith, and Noah has ubered home, it was now just Y/N and I.
"Hey Court?" She called from the sofa. I was in the kitchen making some tea for the two of us.
"Yeah, what's up," I called back making my way to the sofa with two cups of tea.
I handed Y/N her cup of tea before sitting down with mine.
"Can we talk about what we were going I talk about before everyone got here?"
"Of course," I said, getting more serious.

Your POV
Courtney and I faced each other on her sofa, I looked into her eyes, they were beautiful. I quickly looked away and down to my hands nervously, she must have noticed because she placed her hand on mine.
"How about we ask some questions first, break the ice a little before we hammer it away?"
"Yeah, that's a good idea,"
"Okay, well can I go first? There's something that's been bugging me this whole time," she said.
"Of course," I looked at her.
"What's up with you and you're parents, I understand that not everyone talks to their parents all the time, but ya know, I never see you call them," she looked at me.
I was a little uncomfortable, I stared at my hands in my lap. It was hard to say it out loud, it was something I didn't want to admit.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to come off rude, you don't have to—,"
"Way to break the ice," I chuckled, "They're not great people," I stated.
"What?"
"They made me work and give them 90% of my earnings, they told me I was stupid and couldn't do anything, but they'd take care of me as long as I do their errands and clean the house," I started to tear up, I didn't realize how this made me feel, "I never had friends or dated anyone and when I finally had the confidence to come out..." I trailed off into a ashamed mumbled.
Courtney squeezes my hand with hers, she interlocked our fingers together and then pulled me forward into a warm hug.
"They told me that I wasn't worth happiness. I realized I'm worth more than that, so took the 250 I had in my bank account and bought a plane ticket to LA, and with the 50 I had left I bought 2 days worth a groceries and a hotel room for 3 nights. With that came vouchers for a local improve class so I took it in the hopes of scoring a job. That's when Mari found me..."
Courtney released the hug and stared at my eyes. She placed her hands on my cheeks and pull my face in, kissing me on the cheek before pulling me into another hug. My face grew to a bright red.
"My parents aren't too crazy about the bisexual thing either," she said, "but we're here for each other, right?"
"Right," I said back.
"I'm sorry to make you bring that up".
"You would have to know eventually, if I didn't say it I would probably burst into tears one day at work," I said with a chuckle.
She laughed too, her beautiful smile shining through.
After a few minutes of silence I looked at Courtney in the eyes, "Court?"
"Yeah?"
I paused for a moment, finally building up the courage to blurt out:
"Will you date me?"
