I picked this version because it was juicy, but next chapter is a fluff because this was though to write.

Your POV
I woke up in a panic, not remembering where I was for a moment. I looked over to see Courtney sleeping next to me and I sighed with relief. Sitting up I took my phone of the nightstand, I was about to get up before I thought about how nice it could be for Courtney to wake up next to me. This would be the first time. In an attempt to entertain myself, I turned on my phone to find multiple notifications. Smosh has just released the two truths one lie with Courtney and I. I decided to click on it, watching it through for a while. I started to recall how long it's been since I started working with the squad. Before Courtney and I were together. I had totally forgot what it felt like without her, and I didn't want to know. The video finished and I decided it would be best to ignore the comments so I moved on to other notifications.
Before long I heard a shuffle next to me.
"Oh," Courtney said stretching, "your still in bed!" She sounded happy.
"Thought since we haven't done it before and it's the last day before work, it might be a nice surprise," I said putting down my phone, smiling.
She rolled her body toward mine, draping her left arm over my torso. I kissed her forehead as she giggle. She rolled further until on top of me, her nose touched mine and I stole a kiss, she stole one back.
"We should do this every morning," she giggled.
"Agreed."
She kissed me deeper, pushing the hair out of my face. We both got caught in the moment. She only stopped when we heard the ring of my phone. We looked at each other for a moment. It rang again.
"I should probably, uh—"
"Yeah," She said.
"Mood killer," I said and she giggled as I pick up the phone.
"Hello?" I sighed, Courtney rolled off of me.
"Y/N? Sorry were you busy or something?"
"What," I breathed looking a Courtney, she just smiled, "I mean a little, but it's fine. What's up?"
"So tonight I and some others from the office are having a nice little party if you both wanna come," Mari stated.
I looked over at Courtney, she didn't say anything, but I knew what she wanted to say. She was staring at the ceiling, a frown plastered on her face.
"Sorry Mari, Court and I had some plans for tonight so we can't make it."
"That's alright, we're all here for you guys if you got some free time, have a good one," She said.
"You too Mari, bye!"
"Bye!" And she hung up.
"How did you know that-,"
"I could see it in your face," I said looking at her. She rolled over again, back on top of me and again, we touched noses.
"You know me so well," she said kissing me. I kissed back.
I looked at her for a moment, then I heard our stomachs grumble.
"I'll go make something to eat," I said.
"We can do it together," she said, looking at me.
"Sure."
So we got up and made breakfast, talking through the morning into the afternoon. We weren't really doing anything, just sitting in each other's presence. Our attentions were caught when the news came on something about an uproar of hate crimes in some areas. I wasn't listening hard enough to know.
"You wanna go out? To the park or something?" I asked Courtney. We were laying on the couch, her body leaned against mine.
"Why not?" She said.
And we did. We hadn't actually planned anything for the day, we just wanted some time spent together. With all the recent heartache that went on, we needed some time for our relationship.
We got to the park, which was only a 20 minute walk from Courtney's house, and sat near a fountain. We had stopped by a store on the way, grabbing a few snack courtesy of my wallet.

Timeskip 8pm

Courtney's POV
Y/N and I were walking back from dinner. We had eaten at this pizza place called Ameci which is my favourite. Y/N was still trying to make an effort to make everything up to me even though I told her it isn't her fault. She isn't that big of a pizza fan and she still took me to Ameci. She offered to pay (which I didn't let her do), she held the door open for me, complimented me all night. She's trying really hard and she still feels as though she owes me something.
"You wanna go to the 7/11 on the corner? We can get snacks and watch a movie!" I asked.
"What movie?" She smiled, holding my hand in hers.
"Greece?"
"Never seen it so sure," she said.
"What?! You've never seen it?"
"Court, I haven't seen most movies, I only watched my first avengers movie 6 months ago."
I moved in front of her, walking backwards to talk to her.
"Sure lets go to 7/11, but it better be good," she said with a smile.
"Race you there," I said.
"Your on."
And we ran through the streets until we were both standing in front of the 7/11 short of breath. We smiled at each other, walking in, holding hands. Usually Y/N would let go of my hand, afraid to show who we are, but she didn't this time. She was oblivious to the world in that moment or maybe she just couldn't care less what the world thought.
We picked up some snacks, waving to the cashier as we were about to leave. I had come into the 7/11 before, so I knew him. We thanked the guy as we headed toward the door when a big burley man came crashing in. He took a look at Y/N and I and we both immediately knew what came next.
"You mother fucking gays! Ruining everything! Poisoning our children!" He looked drunk and smelled like a bar.
"Listen sir we were just leaving so—"
"SHUT UP!" He yelled stepping closer.
"Sir!" The cashier yelled, "if you lay a finger on them, I will call the police!" He threatened.
"I've been there many times kid, they know me well there. Call them, I only need a few moments to kill these bitches," He laughed. The cashier dialed 911 immediately.
"Courtney," Y/N looked at me, she had fear in her eyes, but a hard look on her face.
"Y/N," I didn't know what to do.
"Run, around the back, run to the cashier's desk, if we run outside he'll follow and then the police won't catch him," she said bravely.
"Bu-but-."
"Just go, do it," she said, so I did, running behind the cashier as he talked with the police. I was in such a state of shock, I didn't know what else to do.
The man took a swing at Y/N, she swiftly dodged trying to reason with the man.
"Please, we've done nothing to you," she pleaded as he swung again.
"I'm going to KILL YOU!" He hit her this time, a punch to the eye knocked her off her feet, I screamed, trying to get over, the cashier held me back.
She stood gripping her eye, he hit her nose and blood started it drip.
"I don't want to hurt you man," she said, I was confused as to why she hadn't run.
"You puny, INferior, unimportant little-" He was about to hit again, when she punched him in the face, knocking him this time. He kicked her leg, and she shouted out in pain, but she was too quick. She held him down as best as she could as he struggled under her. He had her knees on his arms. We heard police sirens. The police barged in, point their guns at Y/N to which she raised her hands.
"Please officers, this crazy woman attacked me, she's clearly drunk!" He yelled, I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Rocco, we've been watching the live CCTV, we're taking you in for assault," They said taking him away. Y/N stood gripping the bridge of her nose, I rushed over kneeling in front of her.
"Baby?! Baby?!" I didn't know what to do.
"Court, I'm fine. I've had worse," she said looking at me as she caught the blood dripping from her nose. Her eyes had watered from the punch and she hadn't stood up yet.
"Do you ladies have someone you can call, and do you need a paramedic?" One cop asked.
"No, I don't need a paramedic thanks," she said attempting to stand, she wobbled for a moment, looking dizzy.
"Ma'am are you sure you don't need a paramedic?"
"Yeah," She said, "thank you officer."
"My pleasure ladies," he said leaving.
"Court could you call Shayne?"
"Shayne?"
"I don't think he went to the party Mari was talking about earlier," she said.
"Right, I'll be outside." I said walking out.
I opened my phone and hit voice call on Shayne's number.
"Hey Courtney! You don't usually call without warning, what's up?"
"Shayne?" I said with a shaky voice.
"Courtney? You okay, where are you?" He said concerned.
I had tears in my eyes, shocked from the situation, "At the 7/11 near my house, can you pick Y/N and I up?"
"What happened?"
"I'll tell you when you get here, please come quick."
"I'll be there in 5," he said hanging up.
I ran back to Y/N who was sitting on the floor in front of the 7/11, bloody tissues in hand.
"You okay?" She asked.
"What? I'm not the one with a black eye and bloody nose!"
"I know," she laughed, "You're crying, that's why I asked." She said, wrapping and arm around me as I sat. She pulled me close to her before releasing me, cupping her face in pain.
"Where's the cashier?"
"Over there, they're questioning him, I told the officers I'd submit an online report, I just want to go home."
"Shayne will be here any—"
"Courtney?!" I heard Shayne's voice.
I turned and we spotted each other, he started to run over, but a officer stopped him.
"I called him!" I yelled, the officer turned and let him through. We ran and met in the middle. He looked at me in the face, then hugged me.
"You okay?" He released me and I looked at him, he looked frantic.
I was still crying, "yeah," I choked.
"Where's Y/N?" He sounded calm.
"Come with me."
We jogged over to Y/N. A paramedic had come to look at her anyway.
"I'm really good, I don't need assistance." She said kindly.
"I know you don't, but it's my job, I have to make a report. You look fine, just when you get home, make sure to keep disinfecting your wounds, you have laceration on your eyebrow."
"Okay." She said, "thank you."
The paramedic walked away. Y/N stood up, as Shayne walked up to her. She still looked shellshocked. She stumbled, but Shayne caught her in a hug.
"I'm really glad you're okay." He said, sighing with relief.
"Can we go home?" She asked quietly.
"Yeah baby we can."
Shayne slung Y/N's arm over his shoulder, helping her to his car as I walked along side.
Shayne helped Y/N into the back, I sat next to her.
"How are you feeling?" I asked her quietly as Shayne rolled down his window talking to the cop.
"I'm okay," is all she said.
"Y/N." I said, touching her leg lightly, she flinched in pain.
Shayne started to drive, heading toward my house.
"Okay, alright," She said, "it hurts like a bitch." She said, tears forcing themselves out of her eyes. I rubbed her back as she leaned into me.
"You can't go to work tomorrow like that," Shayne said driving through the streets.
"I can, I'll just have to call Ian," she said.
"What happened anyway?" Shayne asked, his voice was calm, but he was still in disbelief.
"A drunk man walked in to the store and saw Court and I holding hands, so he started to verbally attack us about being in a relationship," she sighed.
"The cashier called 911 as he started to threaten us. Y/N told me to go to him and I did," I said. There was a pause for a few moments, dead silence.
"Anyway he started to throw punches and I didn't want to hurt the guy which I ended up doing anyway," Y/N said.
"I'm glad you both are safe," Shayne sighed pulling up.
When we got inside, Y/N went over to the couch sitting on and groaning.
Shayne got the first aid kit as I called Ian.
