Chapter 9- Build Up to Smosh Summer Games

Sorry for no updates. Again I'm raging about finals so I'm SUPER stressed out. After May 24 I have a week off and then go on a trip for a week, then my summer starts so you should be expecting more consistent updates after June 15 or something like that.

Your POV
The squad and I walked into Joe's office. He was accompanied by Sarah, Sunny, and Matt Raub. I didn't know Matt or Sunny that well, but Sarah and Courtney were really close friends so we talked a lot. Matt Raub and Sunny were very nice to me when I joined and always encouraged me, I just don't know them well enough right now.
Wes, Mari, Joven, and Damien walked in and greeted us. I got along with Smosh Games very well. I honestly don't know why we separate into two "factions", Smosh is really just one family.
"Alright," Joe's voice snapped me out of thought, "We've already talked with the production team and decided that next week were going to start Smosh Summer Games," He stated. Everyone cheered. I really didn't know anything about summer games or winter games for that matter. I joined not too long after they finished filming the last games.
I quickly became embarrassed and red.
"Umm, what's that?" I mustered up the courage to speak. It stopped everyone's cheering.
Courtney out her arm around me and I got more red, at least she was trying to comfort me.
"Well Y/N, it's your first games so you'll pretty much just learn as you, like you did with the squad," Joe said.
I was expecting a better answer than that, but I have to trust Joe's judgment on this one.
"Don't worry baby I got you," Courtney whispered.
"Alright everyone that's the announcement. We'll get down shooting 4 videos tomorrow and we'll have 10 days of games," Sarah stated.
Everyone started to walk out. Courtney and I waiting for the last person to exit. We started to walk when Joe caught my attention.
"You two, Courtney, Y/N, come here," Joe said. I could feel Courtney stiffen, I was scared too. She removed her arm from around my shoulder and took a step away from me. We walked over to Joe. He looked serious, very very serious.
"Yes J-Joe, I mean, Mr. Joe, I mean Mr. Bereta," I stumbled feeling stupid.
He chuckled looking at me, "Y/N, you know it shuts Joe." He said, giving me a warm smile. He got up and shut the door.
"Something up Joe?" Courtney asked trying to stay cool.
"Yeah there is guys," he said sitting on his desk. He put his hands in his lap and dead panned. He looked at me with cold eyes. I was so nervous I started to shake a little.
"I know your dating," He plainly said.
"W-What no wa—," he looked at me so I shut up. He then looked at Courtney he slowly smiled, I became very confused, "Congrats," he said getting up. He hugged Courtney and then came over to me. I was shocked so it took a second to hug back.
He stared to laugh, "oh the look on your face Y/N, priceless." He said.
Courtney grabbed my hand," oh your shaking," she laughed a little, kissing my cheek and hugging me.
"Sorry I scared you so much Y/N," he said.
"I'm just happy your okay with it," I sighed as Courtney pulled away.
"Of course," he said, "I just want to tell you I won't say anything, but it'll kill ya if you keep it between you." He warned, "I'd get it over quickly, but for now I'm always here".
"Thanks Joe," we both said.
We walked out his office and I looked at Courtney, "I've never been so afraid in my life," I said. We laughed together as we walked back to the squad room.

Time Skip: One week later (still your POV)

I had spent the last 3 days with Courtney as Mari was out of town with her husband Peter. It was not a Friday morning and I had got up 2 hours early to cool breakfast and finish packing my bag.
I finished the pancakes so I placed them on Courtney's table. I walked back to our room and looked at Courtney. She was sound asleep, but it was 8 o o'clock and we had to leave in another hour. I had already helped her pack so all she had to do was get ready and eat breakfast.
I walked over to her side of the bed and looked at her for a moment. I realized how lucky I was to be with such a beautiful person, inside and out. I smiled and kneeled down, I kissed her cheek and moved her hair out from her face.
She stirred, "Y/N?" She said sleepily, "morning," she sat up, opening her eyes.
"Morning," I smiled simply enjoying the moment. I kissed her once again, but on the lips, "come on, I've already made breakfast," I said grabbing her hand and pulling her up.
"You're already ready?" She asked gaining more consciousness.
"I got up at 6," I stated, holding her hand as we walking to the dining table.
"You look pretty," she said.
"Thanks babe."

Time skip

It's now 8:45 and Courtney just finished getting ready. Mari said she'd come to pick us up so we could carpool. Courtney Damien, Mari, and I all live super close so we thought we'd carpool to work.
I was sitting on Courtney's sofa texting Damien when arms came and slid around my neck. I looked up to see Courtney smiling at me. She hadn't put on any makeup other than filling in her eyebrows.
"Hey beautiful," I greeted her. She chuckled and leaned my head back a little further. She kissed my lips deeply and then pulled back. I smiled at her, melting a little bit. She walk around the sofa and sat in my lap facing me. I put my phone down and pulled her face toward mine m. I kissed her deeply too. I leaned back holding the kiss and she leaned forward until I was practically laying down. We broke the kiss laughing and Courtney out her foreword forward until it touched mine. Our noses touch and we kissed again.
"I love you so much," she laughed.
I gazed into her eyes, "I love you too Court".
My phone vibrated and I looked at it, so did Courtney:
Damien: Yo Y/N, Mari and I are outside.
"We'll continue this another time," I said kissing her again before we both sat up. Courtney got up grabbing her suitcase and heading towards the door, I grabbed my too eying Damien back telling him we were coming.
I have Courtney one last kiss on the cheek before we walked outside. We still hadn't told anyone else other that Joe and Mari so we could be a couple until the house where we can find some alone time.
We walked outside to find Damien and Mari standing outside the car chatting.
"Hey!" I called getting there attention. I walked up to them and let go of my suitcase hugging Mari, as I hadn't seen her in a while, Damien took Courtney's case and went to put it in the back of the car.
"How was your week with soulmate?" She whispered as we hugged.
I chuckled, "It was fun, how was your week out of town with Peter?"
"Great!"
"Y/N?" Damien said, I looked up to find him reaching to take my case.
"No hug first Dames?" I asked.
He laughed hugging me, then took my case.
We got in the car, Damien got in the back with me and Courtney sat with Mari at the front.

Courtney's POV
We got to the Smoffice and Mari parked up. Everyone was already there. They greeted us and we quickly decided who was going in what van. I stuck close to Y/N, hoping we'd get out in the same van.
"Alright," Matt Raub called out, "van 1 has, Keith, Olivia, Courtney, Joe, Damien, Lasercorn, Sunny, and myself".
I was very disappointed, but I couldn't just keep Y/N to myself. I looked over to her and she looked a little nervous, but excited.
"I'll see you there babe," she whispered to me as we started to fill in.
I just smiled as I got in the van.
