"Finn. It's time for dinner."
"Not hungry."
"You have to eat."
"I'm not leaving."
"Should I bring some up?"
"I told you, I'm not hungry." Finns stomach disagreed and wasn't afraid to say so. "GGGRRRRWWW". Finn ate his food, still at Freyer's bedside.
"Hey Fairy. How you been? Me and my buddies were disappointed. You didn't say goodbye yesterday." Ron said in that irritating sarcastic voice of his.
"I didn't want to puke on you, sorry." Freyer replied in a less irritating sarcastic voice. Freyer tried to pass them and make his way to home-room.
"Whoa! Where are you going ? I didn't say we were done talking."
"But I decided I was done listening."
"What was that?"
"If stay any longer I'm bound to catch your stupidity."
"YOU LITTLE SHIT!!" Ron's fist flew toward Freyer's face "AH! WHAT THE...!!??"
Freyer, the kid who had failed gym, had stopped Ron's fist, something no one at the school had cared to try before. Freyer was surprised he didn't think that it would work. But it had. And so he went with it. While Ron was still making a stupid face Freyer kicked his feet out from under him. Ron fell to the ground, hard. He grunted in pain. Freyer smirked and walked away while everyone stared dumbfounded at what just happened. But nothing stayed good for long. He was called to the Principal's office.
Freyer sat in the uncomfortable wooden chair rolling his eyes while Principal Hermic read him the riot act. Since this was his first offense he was let off with a whole Saturday of detention instead of suspension. Still it put him in worse than mood before. He couldn't count the number of times Ron had pounded on him, much less the amount of times his dad bought him out of trouble. From there on it was the same old, absolutely horrible school day.
Waldek had to leave again. He was still worried but...if they were going to survive he had to work. Finn took relatively good care of himself but still barely left Freyer's side. He even fell asleep on the end of the bed unless he was still on the floor. The days turned into weeks and still Freyer remained inactive. Finn and Waldek were losing heart. Waiting is not an easy thing. Though he'd never admit it Finn occasionally shed silent tears for his friend. Waldek did what Waldek did best, cry on the inside.
The same held true for Freyer. on his way home he only though of his real home. His real home.back in Aleifr, with Finn and Waldek. Tears rolled down his pale cheeks. The sun was shinning but Freyer only saw rain. He arrived at his house, went to his room and realized he was wearing his pocket watch last night. He forgot to take it of when went to sleep. He left it on again tonight. It made him a little happy and he needed that right now.
Finn was staring up at him from the floor. He tried to keep his heavy eyelids from falling, for he had not slept in several days. Waldek was downstairs. He pretended to be reading, but in reality he was just holding a book, lost in his worries. Freyer's eyes twitched a little. Finn looked hopefully for any more movement. Freyer's eyes opened and he slowly sat up. Finn watched intently trying to verify his sanity.
"F-Finn?" Freyer asked groggily. Finn hid his relief and Freyer hid his tears. Freyer was still looking at Finn in amazement when he was punched in the face.
"YOU JERK!!!" He shouted when his fist made contact.
"WHAT THE HELL DID I DO!!?"
"YOU LAYED THERE FOR ALMOST A MONTH!!"
"WHAT ARE TALKING ABOUT!!??" Hearing the racket Waldek ran upstairs to their room. He looked through doorway and saw Freyer and Finn arguing. More importantly, He saw Freyer, awake. He walked in the room with an angry expression and made his way over to Freyer. Not missing a beat he smacked him upside the head.
"IS IT HIT FREYER DAY!!??"
"YES." Finn and Waldek said in unison, much like the blows they dealt to Freyer's face...again.
"We were worried sick, you fool!" Waldek stated
"W-what...happened...?"
"All of the sudden you just stayed still, didn't talk. Like you were asleep. Like you were a corpse. It went on like for three weeks." Freyer's eyes widened.
"I-I...woke up. Back in Lochedge. I thought it was...just a dream..." Finn and Waldek exchanged puzzled looks.
"You...were in Lochedge?" Finn questioned
"How...you were...you're...you're just FRICKEN NUTS!!!"
"I SWEAR!! I just woke up and there I was, back in my room, in Lochedge..."
"Perhaps..." Waldek started.
"We live in different...worlds. I know it sounds crazy but...I doubt any of us are dreaming and how else do we explain this?"
"Brother are you suggesting that Freyer...he's back in...England when he...?"
"Un. I heard of it once. There were holy beings that watched over the land. One day one of them was sent through a great gate...and was plunged into a different world. He lost all of his memories and...that's where I stop remembering."
"But that's just a Fairy's tale, brother. It can't possibly be..."
"Then how is he...here and there?"
"Simple. he's not. He's just insane."
"Gee, thanks."
"No, Frey is clueless but he is not crazy."
"I'm gonna go get a drink 'kay?" Freyer got off the bed and walked toward the door.
"But sill! Traveling through worlds!?"
" 'Kay." Freyer left the two to argue, and boy did they argue. When Waldek had finally convinced Finn that he was right, they joined Freyer in the kitchen, had a small dinner, and went to bed. That night was one of the longest Freyer had in years. He lied there, looking at the painting of a dragon surrounded by books that hung above his bed. He couldn't bear to shut his eyes more than a millisecond. 'I don't want to wake up from this dream.' He thought to himself. He had lost much of himself when he returned to England. He didn't want that to happen again. 'I don't want to lose my home again.'
