I felt a hand grab my arm and I glance seeing Legolas, I looked at Alfrid and his eyes were filled with fear "watch yourself" I growled and I released him, he then ran away quickly. I looked towards Legolas but he was gone, I looked around in confusion.
"Da!" I looked and saw Tilda run to Bard and hug him. I smiled and walked over "I feared the worst, I saw the tower fall" he brushed it off "I'm fine, just a few scratches" I smiled and looked at Bain "you're a brave young lad" I smiled widely. He smiled proudly, and I chuckled.
I walked to many wounded people, helping them when I heard someone speak up "it was Bard! He killed the dragon! I saw it with my own eyes. He brought the beast down. He shot him down, with a black arrow" I smiled and looked at the lady I was helping. Her face was a mixture of pain and pride.
"You saved us all! Thank You!" I stood and walked to the huge group of people surrounding Bard. I watched and folded my arms "ALL HAIL - TO THE DRAGONSLAYER! ALL HAIL - KING BARD!" I glared at Alfrid as he shouted "I have said it many times - This is a man of Noble stock. A born leader!" I smirked and walked forward "you lie!" He glared then realized it was me and he slunk back slowly "do not call me that! I'm not the master of this town." I looked to Bard "WHERE IS HE? WHERE'S THE MASTER?" The woman from earlier spoke up "halfway down the Anduin, with all our coin, I don't doubt. You would know!" She pointed towards Alfrid who was quick to try to defend himself. "You helped him empty the treasury" Alfrid tried to make himself look innocent.
"No - I tried to stop him." I stepped forward "you lie! I saw you on that boat with the old master" I stood taller and pulled a dagger, keeping it at my side "I should just cut off your head, we'll be better without you" I growled and he froze from fear. "Enough!" I looked at Bard and slid my dagger back into it's sheath "look around you! Have you not had your fill of death?" I nodded and backed down, leaving Alfrid shaking in his boots. I watched as Bard helped people and gave them a job to do, he then looked at me "help protect my people" I nodded "I will, until death" he nodded then spoke to me as we walked "I feel Dale is our best choice" I nodded "yes." I then see Legolas appear "news of the death of Smaug will have spread through the lands." I nodded in understanding. "Aye" I heard Bard "others will now look to the mountain - for it's wealth, or it's position" Bard looked at him suspiciously "what is it you know?" I looked towards Legolas "nothing for certain. It's what I fear may come." I nodded and looked to Legolas as Bard walked away "I fear for this town Legolas." He looked towards me and nodded "I do to Aoibheann. But there is nothing to do, but survive" he then ran off to Tauriel.
